Hen House Market • Price Chopper • Sun Fresh • PayLess Discount Foods
Our vision is to be the best run, friendliest supermarkets in town, where teammates are passionate about providing excellent customer service and where customers love to shop.
“You can improve store execution when you can see it,” says Balls Foods CEO and Simbe client Ryan Campbell, as the Associated Wholesale Grocers Showcase kicked off at Hen House.
With Tally, Balls Foods has already improved price accuracy by 65%, while freeing up store teams to spend more time serving shoppers.
For his team, it’s about having a clear, consistent view of what’s happening on the shelf so pricing is right, products are available, and issues get resolved faster.
We’re here this week showing how it works in practice.

🍗 Ice cream that looks like a fried chicken leg?!🍗
YES, PLEASE!!!
Got these in recently at our Balls Foods Sun Fresh store on 18th St, and they are AWESOME.
If you haven’t seen these yet, ask your kids - they’ve seen them on social media, no doubt.
Crispy, sweet cornflake outer shell, delicious vanilla ice cream and a solid chocolate “bone” in the middle.
I can vouch for the flavor.
These. Are. Good.
✌🏻 ❤️ 🤘🏻

When people think about major global sporting events coming to a city, grocery stores probably aren’t the first thing that come to mind.
But as we watched cultures from around the world prepare to come to Kansas City this summer, we couldn’t help but notice the parallel between soccer on the pitch and food at the table, both have a way of bringing people together, creating connection, and giving people a place to gather, celebrate, and share something meaningful.
That idea became the foundation for Taste Flight at Hen House Market.
Featuring foods inspired by countries coming to Kansas City this summer, the campaign has been a true cross-functional effort across our stores, culinary teams, operations, marketing, and merchandising.
A huge part of bringing it to life has been the work of Executive Chef Timm Dumansky, who led food planning and recipe development for featured items across our meat, seafood, and delicatessen departments.
We're proud to see the campaign, which our team has been working on for the past year, highlighted by My KC Live at KCTV5 Kansas City and grateful to everyone behind the scenes helping turn grocery retail into something experiential, community-driven, and rooted in bringing people together through food.
