Bala welcomes Christopher Cantz, who joins our Philadelphia office as a Commissioning Engineer. Chris joins our group with over 12 years of experience installation, repair, and preventative maintenance in HVAC systems and has worked across various sectors including residential, commercial, and industrial. Bala is excited to welcome Rob Orzewicz! Rob joins our Baltimore office as a Mechanical Engineer. Rob is a proud graduate of West Virginia University and his background is primarily in the government sector, with projects focused on testing and data analysis. At this week's Green Building United Sustainability Symposium, Bala experts will be leading a discussion about how to guide early-stage conversations to align building resilience goals with MEPS strategies to meet occupant priorities, operational realities and long-term asset performance. Maggie Deatrick / Maggie D., Elizabeth L. and Steven Anastasio PE, SE will be teaching participants how to frame resilience as a layered, integrated system that includes reducing demand, diversifying supply, isolating failures, and enabling rapid recovery, while translating technical concepts into owner-relevant outcomes such as safety, comfort, continuity, and adaptability. Their session is from 2:45-3:45 PM, on May 15, 2026.

James supports BIM coordination efforts for our mission critical projects and brings 15 years of experience in BIM modeling within the construction industry. His background is primarily in MEP systems, with additional experience in architecture. Outside of work, James enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and studying linguistics.
