AI is rapidly changing what security teams can do with video, making it possible to monitor more footage than ever before. In this SDM Magazine feature, Craig Trudgeon, EVP of Product at Axon, explains how Axon Fusus unifies live video, alerts and field data to accelerate incident response. Axon Vision goes a step further, monitoring those feeds and surfacing alerts the moment critical activity appears so teams can act before situations escalate. As Fort Worth prepares to welcome the world for the 2026 World Cup, its 911 teams are leaning on what they call a 'hidden worker' to make sure dispatchers never miss a beat. That 'hidden worker'? It's Prepared's AI-powered technology. The city is using Prepared tech to help emergency communications teams translate calls in real time, improve caller location accuracy and support faster responses. In recent trials, AI triage handled 26% of non-emergency calls, freeing up dispatchers to focus on the pertinent emergency calls. With the world's biggest stage bringing millions of multilingual visitors and the complexity that comes with it, Fort Worth's 911 teams are ready. #Axon #ProtectLife

Every wreath laid. Every candle lit. Every name read. Each one a reminder of what it means to serve and what it can cost. Those who put on a badge do so knowing the risks and they show up anyway. For their communities, for strangers, for people they will never meet. That kind of commitment deserves more than recognition. It deserves remembrance, the kind that stays with you long after the moment has passed. To the families standing at those memorials holding that weight: know that you are not standing there alone. To the officers still out there answering the call, and to those who carry the physical and emotional marks of their service: your sacrifice does not go unseen. #NationalPoliceWeek #Axon #ProtectLife

A drone first on scene would ruin every scary movie. Responding to reports of someone suspected of squatting inside a fire-damaged house with multiple hazards, officers deployed a Skydio drone to get first eyes on scene and better understand what they were walking into. Seconds later, the suspect appeared out of nowhere and grabbed the drone mid-flight. With real-time situational awareness through Axon Air DFR, Brookhaven Police Department's officers were able to safely approach and take the individual into custody. #Axon #ProtectLife

NYPD said it best: “Heroism and heart from NY’s finest.” When officers responded to a woman in crisis on the ledge of a Brooklyn high-rise, they met the moment with patience, compassion and courage. As officers talked to her and worked to keep her calm, ESU teams rappelled onto the ledge to meet her where she was. Together, they were able to bring her to safety. During Mental Health Awareness Month, this footage is a reminder that some of the most important moments in public safety begin with empathy, communication and human connection. We’re grateful for the officers and first responders who show up every day to help protect life. #AxonBodyCam #Axon #ProtectLife

Please join us in remembering the 363 heroes named in this year’s #NationalPoliceWeek Roll Call. Behind every badge is a commitment to serve and protect others, often in moments of uncertainty and risk. Each of these 363 officers made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting their communities, and their courage continues to inspire us to help build a safer world for all. To the officers we’ve lost, and to the families, friends and agencies who continue to carry their memory forward: we remember you, we honor you and we thank you.
