Incredible results from Emel Hamilton and team at Fresenius Medical Care using Avo The Fresenius Medical Care team just published something quiet but kind of wild. Their poster at the National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meetings, "Quiet Disruptor: Transforming Clinical Decision Support with No-Code Technology," is also coming out in the May issue of the American Journal of Kidney Diseases. The headline numbers: 96.3% lower development cost 94.4% faster time-to-value Clinician time-to-decision dropped from 120 minutes to 16. An 86.7% workflow gain. PSSUQ usability score of 5.61 out of 7. But the part I keep thinking about isn't in the numbers. *Dietitians told the team that documentation felt lighter. Cleaner. Less of a tax on the day. *And then CMS auditors started commenting on how thorough the notes were. The team thinks it may have reduced citation risk. That's the thing about doing this right. You set out to support a clinical decision, and you end up making an audit easier. We didn't measure that. The clinicians did, in real life.

📍 At the National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meetings presenting our poster: 🧠 “Quiet Disruptor: Transforming Clinical Decision Support with No-Code Technology.” One of the most interesting parts of this work has been challenging a long-standing assumption in healthcare technology: That digitizing complex clinical decision support always requires long development cycles and heavy IT dependency. Using a no-code approach, clinicians themselves participated directly in transforming paper-based decision tools into interactive digital workflows, helping move ideas from concept to implementation far more rapidly. That shift has implications far beyond a single clinical use case: It opens the door for frontline experts to play a much more active role in shaping the tools used in everyday care delivery. It was great presenting alongside Sara Martin and Mary Kay Shepherd whose leadership were instrumental in operationalizing and championing this work across clinical practice. Compared with traditional development approaches, the no-code model significantly accelerated deployment timelines and reduced development effort. We also observed a substantial reduction in clinician workflow burden after digitization, along with strong usability feedback from clinicians using the tools in practice. ✨ One of the most energizing parts of the conference has been watching dietitians and physicians stop at the poster, immediately recognize the potential of this approach, and become genuinely excited about the possibility of using these tools in digitizing clinical workflows. Proud to collaborate with Dinesh Chatoth, Tory Scoggins, and Tammy Bickimer, and our colleague Karin Bergling at the Renal Research Institute on this work. #Nephrology #ClinicalInformatics #DigitalHealth #ClinicalDecisionSupport #AIFluentClinicians

Last week, MCG Director of Product Management, Provider & Population Health Solutions, Marivie Lanter, MBA, RN, BSN, joined leaders from Loma Linda University Health for a panel at the 2026 American Case Management Association (ACMA) National Conference in Orlando, FL. These thought leaders (see pic below) discussed how #artificialintelligence, #automation, and evidence-based care guidelines are improving efficiency and clinical decision-making across the #healthcare journey while keeping a human in the loop. After the session, Ms. Lanter met with conference attendees to discuss AI-powered solutions, such as MCG Indicia Synapse and Avo Discharge Assist (Informed by MCG), which are already helping #hospitals improve workflows and support safe patient discharges.

Clinical workflows are fragmented, time-consuming, and increasingly unsustainable.    At the Renal Research Institute (RRI)’s most recent symposium in Houston, Laurence Coman, COO and Co-Founder of AvoMD, shared how smart clinical decision support tools can streamline care without pulling clinicians out of their workflow.    In 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙏𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙨, the session explores how embedding AI-enabled decision support directly into the EHR helps clinicians consolidate data, apply complex guidelines in real time, and reduce documentation burden. The discussion also highlights real-world collaboration with Fresenius, where digitized clinical algorithms are supporting dietitians, improving consistency, and delivering measurable efficiency gains at scale.    This is about building tools by clinicians, for clinicians, so technology actually works the way care teams do.    🎥 Watch the full session on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/ezMEwkpw   #RRI #ClinicalInnovation #AIinHealthcare #ClinicalDecisionSupport #HealthcareWorkflow #ClinicianFirst

Did you hear the news? Earlier this week Avo announced Series A funding alongside a groundbreaking strategic partnership with DynaMed from EBSCO Clinical Decisions. By integrating one of the world’s leading clinical decision support solutions’ content into Avo's AI consult tool, Ask Avo, we are supporting clinicians in delivering guideline-aligned care that is unique to the patient in front of them. Clinicians can also use Ask Avo to auto-draft clinical notes and diagnoses informed by DynaMed’s rigorously developed, evidence-based, trusted content. This is more than ChatGPT for doctors. Unlike standalone AI tools that remain disconnected from the EHR without expert clinician oversight, this solution offers patient-specific context and health system visibility into the content being surfaced. True integration. To find out more about the product or Avo's knowledge partnerships, visit avomd.com.
