All month long, we've loved getting to recognize our Aveanna speech therapists and the impact they make on our patients and their families. Meet SLP Brooke and Aveanna patient Evelyn! Evelyn has been part of our Aveanna therapy family for nearly a year, where she's worked with SLP Brooke on building her expressive language skills. Throughout the last year, she has made huge progress in her speech journey! "It has been incredible to watch Evelyn's confidence and communication grow since I've worked with her," said Brooke. "She has shown determination, resilience, and so much progress every step of the way. We're so excited to celebrate her graduation from Aveanna after almost a year of dedication and hard work!" Our Clinical Education team made it count for #AveannaMonthOfService, participating in a number of virtual service activities to make a difference! The group designed welcome banners for children coming home from the hospital, they wrote letters to seniors, and they donated clothing to individuals in need. Our team was proud to participate in North Carolina’s Home Care & Hospice Advocacy Day. We stood alongside patients, families, and fellow advocates to elevate the importance of funding care at home. We were especially honored to have our patient Finley and her mom join us to share their story and highlight the impact of home-based care. May is Pediatric Feeding Disorder Awareness Month. At Aveanna, we’re proud to shine a light on Pediatric Feeding Disorders (PFD) and the ways they impact children and families across the country.
