Alex Vayner is the Global Head of AI & Advisory at Atlas Technica, the Managed Intelligence Provider for the alternative investment industry. He leads the design and delivery of secure "AI Safe Zones," governance frameworks, and advisory services that enable hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices to apply generative AI to investment workflows without compromising sensitive data such as partner compensation or portfolio positions. With more than two decades of experience in data and AI, Alex has built and scaled multiple AI practices, growing teams to several hundred engineers and delivering over $1B in AI-driven value for Fortune 500 and financial services clients across more than 30 countries. His earlier career spans hands-on operating roles in investment management and senior advisory positions focused on helping financial institutions and B2B AI companies move from prototypes to governed, production-grade outcomes. At Atlas Technica, Alex oversees the rollout of a tiered AI security framework spanning secure tenant configuration, sensitivity labelling and DLP, continuous monitoring and prompt auditing, and high-assurance custom AI workflows. He also directs AI & Data Advisory engagements covering AI roadmap design with measurable P&L impact, data acquisition strategies, build-versus-buy analysis, vendor selection, and the orchestration of agentic AI within compliance boundaries. He partners with technology, operations, and compliance leaders to translate AI strategy into business value while maintaining FINRA and SEC compliance.
