ARCO's Pittsburgh division recently joined Chelsea Building Products, Inc. in celebrating the grand opening of their new 228,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Developed to support Chelsea Building Products’ continued growth and expand production capabilities for PVC-based window and door profiles, the facility features insulated precast construction, 100’ x 50’ production bays, a 32-foot clear height, ten fully equipped dock positions, a 10,000-amp electrical service, and access to a nearby freight rail spur for efficient material transportation. The project was also designed to accommodate a potential future expansion of an additional 170,000 square feet. We’re proud to have partnered with Chelsea Building Products, Inc. on this milestone project and grateful to have played a role in supporting their long-term growth in the region. ARCO National Construction recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the first phase of Nebius’ planned 1.2-gigawatt AI factory campus in Independence, Missouri. The project represents a major investment in next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure for Nebius (Nasdaq: NBIS), a global AI cloud platform provider. Located on 400 acres, the development is planned as a multi-building hyperscale AI infrastructure campus capable of supporting up to 1.2 gigawatts of computing capacity, positioning it among the largest AI infrastructure developments currently underway in the United States. The first building within the campus will be delivered by ARCO and has been intentionally designed to fit in with the community and directly benefit the surrounding area. ARCO National Construction recently completed a 74,261-square-foot distribution facility in San Jose, California for repeat client Zippy Shell Incorporated, a leading provider of portable storage and moving services. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the new facility expands Zippy Shell’s operational footprint in Northern California and supports the company’s continued growth across the moving and storage market following a merger with 1-800-PACK-RAT.   Built on a constrained site with the building footprint occupying nearly 45% of the parcel, the project required careful coordination and efficient use of space throughout design and construction. The facility features a 72,490-square-foot warehouse, 1,771 square feet of office space, a 6,000-square-foot exterior storage area, tilt-up construction, a hybrid roof deck, 32’ clear height, automated site gates, and a bioretention facility integrated along the warehouse perimeter.   We’re proud to have been part of this project and to continue our strong partnership with Zippy Shell as they expand their footprint nationwide! #construction #distribution #warehouse #california

Scaling cultivation capacity while maintaining strict environmental control is a complex challenge, especially in an industry where technical expertise directly impacts long-term success. Ascension BioMedical is expanding its operations in Oberlin, Ohio with a new 28,000-square-foot, two-story cultivation facility alongside the renovation of an existing 19,000-square-foot building. Together, the campus is designed to increase production capacity while creating a more efficient and controlled growing environment. ARCO National Construction is partnering with Ascension BioMedical to deliver a finished facility that meets the needs of their growing business. The project integrates nine flower rooms, two vegetation rooms, and two dedicated mother rooms, supported by approximately 640 grow lights with the ability to scale to nearly 1,280. Specialized HVAC systems, full-height demising walls, and an F-1 sprinkler system are incorporated to maintain environmental consistency and operational separation across the facility. The scope also includes completion of a partially constructed structure, requiring careful coordination between new construction and renovation work to ensure the campus functions as a cohesive system. Structural elements such as a conventional steel frame, high-performance roof system, mezzanine, and elevator are designed to support both current operations and future expansion. The result is a high-performance cultivation environment built to improve efficiency, increase capacity, and support long-term operational goals as the market continues to evolve. Projects like this require a clear understanding of both the technical demands of cultivation facilities and the importance of delivering a solution that performs from day one. ARCO recently completed a 139,608-square-foot, multi-story self storage facility in Sylmar, California, for repeat client, Banner Real Estate Group, a fully integrated real estate company specializing in the acquisition, development, and management of multifamily and self storage assets nationwide. Located in the San Fernando Valley submarket of Los Angeles, the state-of-the-art facility was designed to meet growing demand for modern, secure storage solutions in the region.   The project includes approximately 1,155 square feet of office space and a total of 1,258 storage units across 11 different unit sizes, including 36 ADA-accessible units. Constructed with a cold-formed metal framing system and a contemporary metal panel façade, the fully conditioned facility is designed for both durability and customer comfort. In recognition of Earth Day, we are looking back at the recent completion of a 603,000-square-foot cold storage facility delivered by ARCO National Construction for DHL Supply Chain and a Fortune 500 world-leading food company in Jacksonville, Florida, reflecting a shared commitment to more sustainable supply chains. The project has achieved LEED® Silver certification and was designed to reduce environmental impact while supporting high-performance operations. The facility includes a 482,560-square-foot 36°F cooler, more than 100,000 square feet of dry warehouse space, and a 12,500-square-foot office, along with a freon refrigeration system, layer picker system, 38-foot clear height, 64 dock positions, a solar-ready roof structure, and EV fleet charging infrastructure. Liam joins the New England office after five years with ARCO’s Chicago team, where he gained extensive experience delivering office projects and complex historic adaptive reuse work. His project portfolio includes the transformation of a one-room theater into multifamily housing, the conversion of a former fitness center into an aviation school, and the redevelopment of a historic textile mill into a boutique hotel.
