Apex project manager Steven Ball, P.E. recently attended the topping off ceremony for Lee Health’s newest hospital in Fort Myers, marking the placement of the final structural beam and a major milestone in expanding healthcare access for the region. Apex has supported this project from early-stage rezoning and master site planning through civil engineering design for utilities, stormwater management, grading, and drainage. Our team also delivered landscape design, FDOT roadway signalization design and permitting, environmental surveying, and coordinated local, state, and federal approvals to keep the project advancing. During construction, surveying for design and staking, along with construction oversight and administration, has helped maintain alignment between planning, design, and execution. Once complete, the new hospital will help meet growing demand for medical services in Southwest Florida, improving access to care, reducing travel times, and strengthening emergency response capabilities. We are proud to support infrastructure that will serve the Fort Myers community for years to come. #ApexCompanies #OneApex #FortMyers

Recent heavy rainfall caused significant flooding across Columbia County, with rivers overtopping their banks, damaging infrastructure, and forcing road closures throughout the region. The Columbia Conservation District, that works with local landowners and communities to protect and manage soil, water, and natural resources, coordinated a rapid response and called on Apex, along with other contractors and public agencies, to support UAS video collection along affected waterways. Within approximately 24 hours of the request, Apex deployed and collected aerial video covering 13 miles of the Touchet River, capturing high-flow conditions and flood impacts in near real time. Beyond delivering requested .MP4 files, Apex applied its GIS expertise to expand the value of the data. The video was processed into a spatially enabled format, allowing stakeholders to identify bank breaches and assess damage directly within a desktop mapping environment. #ApexCompanies #ColumbiaConservationDistrict #GIS #UAS Esri Derrick Westoby

Apex recently supported Blue Mountain Land Trust with a boundary and conservation easement survey for the Túuši Wána project along the Touchet River near Walla Walla, Washington. The project conserves roughly 340 acres of floodplain habitat as part of a restoration effort that will reconnect the Touchet River to its historic floodplain and improve habitat for salmon, wildlife, and native vegetation. The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) are leading the restoration work, including creating a new river channel and placing large woody debris (LWD) in the river to reconnect with its floodplain. Our survey team conducted boundary research, field work, and mapping across several parcels to clearly define both the property limits and the conservation easement area. We also used UAS (drone) mapping to create high-resolution mapping products that supported the identification of boundary features in difficult-to-access areas. The final survey and mapping products help provide the foundation for permanent protection along the Touchet River. #ApexCompanies #TúušiWána #BlueMountainLandTrust Derrick W Mark Wendover

As water-related risk intensifies, corporate water disclosure is quickly becoming a business-critical priority, not just an ESG add-on. Apex analyzed 58 publicly listed companies and found that while reporting is increasing, it remains heavily focused on basic quantity metrics, with limited insight into water quality, supply chain impacts, and regional risk. Investor demand is accelerating, but disclosure practices are still fragmented, inconsistent, and often reliant on internal protocols. Compared to climate reporting, water data lacks standardization, depth, and widespread assurance, leaving gaps in transparency and decision-making. Organizations that take a more comprehensive, strategic approach to water management will be better positioned to strengthen resilience, reduce risk, and meet growing stakeholder expectations. Read the full analysis to explore key trends and what they mean for your business. https://hubs.ly/Q0492BXM0 How prepared is your organization to meet rising investor expectations on water? #ApexCompanies Slok Gyawali
