Last week’s Leadership Essentials Cohort focused on Leading Employees - exploring how leaders build trust, set clear expectations, provide effective feedback, and support team performance without micromanaging. Through honest conversations, shared experiences, and practical leadership scenarios, participants collaborated on real workplace challenges and exchanged strategies they can immediately apply with their teams. The Leadership Essentials Cohort is a year-long development experience designed to strengthen practical leadership skills through interactive learning, collaboration, and real-world application. Throughout the program, leaders focus on communication, accountability, team development, leadership under pressure, and creating alignment across teams. Grateful for the thoughtful discussions and perspectives shared throughout the session by Eric Zambo, Saylee Sathaye, Anton Kalis, Angie Rittenberry, Francisco Ruiz, Dave Gray, John Levan, Amy Volk, Kate Zanobini, Susan Dermott, Silvana Hoyos, and Katie Mullins. Looking forward to seeing these leadership strategies continue to make an impact across teams.

The best builders don't wait for capital. They build around it. Shane Lex worked with this repeat borrower in the Charlotte MSA to create a financing path that went from land acquisition all the way through construction - without draining reserves or missing a single opportunity.

America's housing stock is getting old - and that's creating a structural opportunity for investors who know where to look. Our latest U.S. Housing Monitor breaks it down: → 57% of homes currently listed are 20+ years old → Approximately 1 in 3 listings require some form of repair or renovation → The median U.S. housing stock age has hit 42 years - up 14 years since 1996 Decades of underbuilding have left the market with aging inventory. Sellers are increasingly opting to list as-is, shifting renovation responsibility to buyers and investors - and reinforcing demand for both light and heavy value-add strategies. The opportunity isn't cyclical. It's structural. If you're a renovator looking to move on deals like these, getting your capital structure right from the start is everything. Anchor specializes in helping renovation investors do exactly that - so the financing works as hard as you do. Download the full April 2026 U.S. Housing Monitor at anchorloans.com/resources

We're proud to share that Anchor Loans is the financing partner behind Season 3 of Renovation Aloha on HGTV — now airing Tuesdays at 8/7c. Kamohai and Tristyn are Oʻahu-born real estate investors who have built something truly special: a business rooted in community, craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to the island they call home. This season, Anchor funded all 8 of their featured properties - from distressed to stunning, across neighborhoods throughout Oʻahu. We believe great investments start with the right capital behind them. It's been a privilege to be that partner for Kamohai and Tristyn, and to see that work reflected on a national stage. Tune in to Renovation Aloha Season 3 on HGTV.
