USDA has increased its investment in specialty crop agriculture, providing more support for research, innovation, and state driven programs that help producers stay competitive. This is good news for growers. Expanded funding for automation and mechanization research can help reduce labor pressures, while additional support for state programs strengthens local economies and keeps specialty crop operations moving forward. Continued investment in specialty crops supports rural communities, local jobs, and the long term health of the industry. We are proud to stand with the growers who make this sector strong. At American AgCredit, we know that charting the financial future of an agricultural operation requires clarity in a world full of moving parts. That’s why we offer Terrain, a team dedicated to delivering timely, research‑based insights on the issues shaping agriculture today and in the years ahead. Terrain’s work tackles the questions producers are asking, including: ▪️ How interest rate movements may affect capital and investment decisions ▪️ Whether the next three years’ market outlook supports expansion ▪️ How a shrinking, aging global population could influence long‑term food demand By combining economic expertise, price forecasting, and deep agricultural knowledge, Terrain helps producers make informed, strategic decisions with confidence. We’re proud to bring Terrain’s perspective to the customers we serve. Terrain is owned by AgCountry Farm Credit Services, American AgCredit, Farm Credit Services of America, and Frontier Farm Credit. The House has passed its version of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, a $390 billion Farm Bill that marks the first major step forward since 2018. What it means for our customers: The bill expands Farm Credit’s ability to provide credit, strengthens support for young, beginning, and small producers, and improves opportunities to invest in rural infrastructure. It also brings greater certainty to programs farmers rely on during a challenging time for the ag economy. The Senate is the next step, and continued engagement remains important. Protecting your legacy starts with protecting what matters most. Life insurance helps secure your family, your operation, and the future you are building. It can cover debt, support succession plans, and provide financial stability when it is needed most. Learn more about how life insurance supports farmers and ranchers: https://brnw.ch/21x2fKQ

Mental wellness remains an important issue in agriculture, where financial uncertainty, isolation, and generational pressures can play significant roles. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we continue to join farmers, ranchers, and industry partners to bring this topic Out of the Shadows to help shine a light on the challenges facing producers and rural families. If you or someone you know needs support, you are not alone. Checking in with yourself and with each other is one of the strongest things we can do. Our ag community is built on resilience and connection, and that includes supporting mental well‑being. Corn acreage may be headed lower this year, but the story is more complicated than the headline number. Terrain’s latest analysis breaks down why the USDA’s 95.3 million-acre estimate comes with an asterisk and what could still shift as spring weather, global conflict, and input markets evolve. With uncertainty around final acres, yields, and demand, producers should keep a close eye on market movement and potential pricing opportunities.
