Congratulations to Collin M. Torok, MD, neurointerventional surgeon with Allina Health Brain and Spine Institute, on his appointment as Assistant Editor of the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery (JNIS), the official journal of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS) and the leading research journal in the field of neurointervention. Dr. Torok joins the editorial team as part of JNIS’s newly launched Assistant Editor Program, an initiative focused on cultivating emerging editorial leaders and supporting the journal’s commitment to promoting clinical science and best practices in neurointerventional surgery. This role reflects Dr. Torok’s growing leadership in academic neurointerventional medicine. We’re proud to see Allina Health Brain and Spine Institute physicians recognized on a national stage.

In collaboration with Real Time Medical Systems to we’re strengthening coordination between Allina Health hospitals and our skilled nursing facility partners. This work expands shared visibility into patient needs following hospital discharge, to help care teams identify changes in a patient’s condition sooner, improve communication across care setting and support safer transitions. More than 40 skilled nursing facilities across Minnesota and western Wisconsin are participating as part of our ongoing focus on continuity of care and reducing avoidable hospital readmissions.
