Pro Tip by Chris Hukill National Director at Alert 360 Did you know your dryer could be one of the biggest hidden fire risks in your home? 🔥 One simple maintenance habit could make a major difference: ✔ Clean the lint trap after every load ✔ Wash the lint screen monthly ✔ Keep dryer vents clear for proper airflow Most dryer fires are caused by restricted airflow and lint buildup — both of which are highly preventable. A quick test: Run water over your lint screen. If water pools or beads up instead of flowing through, residue buildup may be blocking airflow inside your dryer. Small maintenance habits can help protect your home, your family, and your peace of mind. Because the best home security isn’t just about intrusion protection — it’s about helping prevent everyday emergencies before they happen. We recently spent some time at Southwood Landscape & Nursery filming a customer testimonial and capturing how they’re using Alert 360 Mobile Surveillance Units throughout their property. Between the spring blooms, colorful flowers, and everything coming to life around the nursery, it was a great setting to spend the day and learn more about their business and experience with Alert 360. Big thanks to the Southwoods team for having us out and sharing their story with us. Stay tuned for the full video coming soon. #Alert360 #MobileSurveillance #BusinessSecurity #VideoMonitoring #GardenCenter

One of the biggest complaints we hear from HOA’s is unauthorized individuals using the pool, tennis or other facilities. Traditionally, these areas are gated but there is very little control over who actually has access to the property. As residents move in and out, it is difficult to ensure all keys are recovered. This potentially leads to individuals that should no longer have access to the amenities still utilizing them. Communities with traditional access control have more control, but still have the cost of adding new keys and the replacement of lost keys. This management of keys usually has to be done from a central computer requiring HOA personnel to make a trip to the site to maintain their access database. If not continually managed, active cards remain in circulation to individuals that are no longer authorized to use the amenities. Even with access cards that can be added and deleted, one huge issue remains, the sharing of keys to non-residents. HOA communities constantly deal with residents sharing their access cards with unauthorized friends and family. If the pool has an access card, it’s easy to leave that for your family or friends to use during the summer. We hear repeated stories of HOA pools packed with non-residents that gained access using the card of a friend or family member. The solution is ALERT 360’s smarter access control with mobile credentials. With our latest access control technology, the resident’s phone IS their access card. This requires the authorized resident to be physically present to unlock community facilities. We also make it easy for the HOA to grant or revoke access to anyone directly from their smart device at any time. No more keys to manage, no more costly cards to add or replace and no more sharing of cards with unauthorized individuals. A current or past resident might provide their access card to family and friends so they can use the HOA amenities, but they won’t leave their phone. Smart access solutions from ALERT 360!

“Most security breaches don’t happen because a system failed - they happen because it wasn’t used consistently.” Tim Gabriel, General Manager of Alert 360 Kansas City, shares a simple but important reminder: Your security system works best when strong habits support it. A few seconds to arm your system, review alerts, or update access credentials can dramatically improve your protection. Small habits can make a major difference when it comes to protecting your home or business. As America prepares to celebrate the Route 66 Centennial, we’re looking back at where the Alert 360 story began - on historic Route 66 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. What started in 1973 as Guardian Security on Tulsa’s Mother Road has grown into one of the nation’s largest security providers protecting homes and businesses coast to coast. In this special video, Robert shares the journey from a local family-run security company built on hard work and word-of-mouth to nationwide protection serving communities all along Route 66 - from Chicago to Santa Monica. This is more than our history. It’s a story about family, service, American roads, and staying true to where it all began. Built on Route 66. Protecting America Since 1973.
