Aflac President Virgil Miller and the local Aflac team came together last month to celebrate Aflac’s 16th Community CareGrant, given to Creighton University’s Center for Promoting Health and Health Equity. The $100,000 Community CareGrant will help train and deploy six community health workers to serve 200 high-risk Omahans with culturally responsive chronic disease prevention, helping to keep families healthy and out of cycles of devastating medical debt. With this grant, Aflac’s CareGrant program has reached nearly $3 million in total giving, supporting the company’s initiative to help close the medical debt gap.
