Perhaps the most interesting bit for people using SSR today — we’re experimenting with server rendering React code. Historically we haven’t put as much effort into the SSR implementation compared to the client one, but that will change.

🍰 I'm so happy to finally release and share Pastel with you! Pastel is a framework for building CLIs with Ink and React. Your API is a filesystem. Each file in `commands` folder is a command. Assign `propTypes` to add command options. Magical. More at

Almost forgot to mention! Over the weekend, I wrote a blog post about... how to write blog posts. Specifically, technical blog posts (and documentation). Check it out:

I'm quite liking stores. Makes it easy to import (and subscribe) to state in your components, without much need for prop drilling at all. Here is a little hash router where the route: /#/posts/123 would result in state of: ["posts", "123"] (And it's reactive of course)

Google's got this cute little easter egg when you search for "thanos" but honestly? it's kind of an on-the-nose reminder that Google (a company) does actually wield the Thanos-like power to effectively make online things disappear. So that's good and cool.

As a "senior" engineer there's something that I'm always self conscious about: I struggle to write good tests. It usually takes me far longer to write the tests than it does the feature. The primary hesitation I have in getting involved in new OSS projects are the test setups.
