Extendable finance facility to drive fleet electrification forward 🔌 ⚡ 🚌 Today we announced the launch of a new committed finance framework agreement (CFFA), the first of its kind in the bus industry. The agreement with leading bus operator The Go-Ahead Group, will provide them with a pre-agreed, scalable credit line that can drawn down as required to support its fleet electrification programme. More than 280 electric buses have already been funded by the facility. Steven Meersman, Founder and Director, Zenobē, commented: “This agreement marks a significant step forward in how public transport operators can finance the transition to zero-emission fleets. We’ve worked closely with Go-Ahead for many years, and this first-of-its-kind framework gives them the flexibility, speed and cost certainty they need as electrification accelerates." The Zenobē Innovation Centre in Portsmouth was the ideal location for a visit from a Windrose demonstrator vehicle this week. Team members from Product, Technical Sales, and Business Development looked at the truck and its capabilities, together with how it functions, to learn how to design suitable charging infrastructure and financial solutions. 💡 The truck poses a question: what innovations will drive the decarbonisation of logistics vehicles in the UK? This truck has an advantage in its aerodynamic design and its overall range, which present a different solution for the transport sector, especially in heavy haulage. Increased interest is being seen in new trucks such as the Windrose, and Zenobē can support with its financing services. Ian Dennis FCILT, Head of EV Fleet for the UK, notes: "The transport sector is looking to solution providers such as Zenobē to provide turnkey options for both depot charging and vehicle finance. By furthering our technical understanding of trucks like the Windrose, we can create financial conditions that make eHGV viable, and provide long-term solutions. We continue to upskill our team, in order to have the answers for our customers."
