ANYONE FANCY A COFFEE? ☕️ For Mental Health Awareness Week, we treated our team with some surprise coffee drops to get them walking and talking, away from their desks. At random times throughout the day, we announced a coffee drop on slack, and the first 5 people to react were treated to a coffee date & walk in the park. A light-hearted way to encourage important conversation (and get some well-needed caffeine).

𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱. The HOKA Hackney Half took over East London last weekend, and brands showed up in force with big builds and even bigger budgets. But one of the smartest bits of placement didn’t come from a media plan. It came from knocking on doors. Wild scouted a balcony right over the start line, one of the best viewing spots on the route. Instead of trying to buy it, they got inside the building, past the concierge, and went door to door asking if anyone would let them hang an 8m flag from their flat. A bit of persistence and a fair amount of nerve later, they’d landed a front-row OOH spot in front of 26,000 runners and thousands more watching, without spending a penny. Sometimes the best ideas aren’t the most expensive. The brands that stand out are the ones willing to challenge the norm and do what others won’t. #ChallengerAF #SportsMarketing #Sponsorship

You know what’s Wild? Hanging a massive flag over the Hackney Half and somehow getting Richard Branson’s attention. Well, that’s exactly what our colleague Tom MacDonald went and did over the weekend. Yes, we had questions to ask when he skived work on Thursday to knock on doors in a Hackney tower block, but we’re trusting people and he seemed to have a plan. With 26,000 runners on the way, Tom decided to shoot his shot, the Wild way. (Some would say he has more ambition than sense…) In short, it went like this: 🚲Spent 75 minutes trekking over to East London to scope the building. 🚪Started knocking on doors to find a balcony that faced the right way. 🗣️Explained to complete strangers that he wanted to hang our 8m flag off their balcony - quite the conversation starter. ❌Floor 1 & 2: Success, almost. One was too low, the other wasn’t keen. Onto the next. ❌Floor 3: No one was home. Tom hand-wrote a note on the spot and slid it under the door (questionable handwriting, we know). ✅Two hours later, Tom had a message. Turns out the tennant is a genuine Wild user - Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt being the go-to. ❌But, he wasn’t around on the day, and the flag was so big it would drop down and cover the balcony below him too. Tom needed to convince the floor above. 📝He took advantage of our Friday WFH day - cycled back to Hackney, to be faced once again with no one home. Rest assured, another note was left. ✅Lew texted back. He was … IN. 🏁Sunday, 8:45am. The big day. Tom pitched up at Lew’s door, and with the help of a few zip ties, hung the flag. 🤝And there he had it. Much to our co-founders' sheer disbelief, Tom had hung a huge Wild banner right in front of 26,000 runners. 🤪And then that’s when it all went a bit… more Wild. 📲Like all good modern employees, he slapped it all over his LinkedIn, not expecting much apart from a few emojis… only it went totally crazy. Lots of attention. 🐐Including from Richard Branson. Surely the man who invented the brand activation as we know it. The big dog. The grand fromage. The king. 🤫Now Tom has stopped shaking with excitement, and he’s chatting to Big Richard about bigger plans (the word blimp has been used). 🥹In fact, we’re pretty sure they’re best friends by this point - Tom’s words, not ours. And he’s clearly a trustworthy chap. That’s Wild.

How I got the most expensive advertising spot in Hackney, for free. If you’ve ever run the Hackney Half, you’ll know that 500m from the start line, there’s a massive block of flats that every single runner faces. The spot is prime. On Thursday, I decided to shoot my shot. 🚇Spent 75 minutes trekking over to East London to scope the building. 👋Dodged past the concierge to get inside. 🚪Started knocking on doors to find a balcony that faced the right way. 🏁Explained to complete strangers that I wanted to hang an 8m flag off their balcony. Quite rogue. ❌Floor 1: Keen as. Let me in, but realised the balcony was too low. We go again. ❌Floor 2: Straight no. Brilliant. 👀Floor 3: No one home. But, the neighbour mentioned a young couple lived next door. Perfect. Hand-wrote a note on the spot and slid it under the door. ✅Two hours later, I got a text from James. Turns out he’s a genuine Wild customer and he's game. What a boy. ❌Gave him a buzz - slight issue - he was away for Sunday, and the flag was so big it would drop down and cover the balcony below him too. I needed the next floor above onboard. ✅Came back Friday, went up to Floor 4, no one home. Left another note. Few hours later, Lew texted back - how good! 🏃Sunday, 8:45am. Game day. Pitched up at Lews door with Freddie Bray facing the biggest Half Marathon in London. ☕️Few zip ties, managing the wind, and Connor Hall on the lens, and there we had it. 🤝Free advertsing on the most prime spot, right in front of 26,000 runners. 🐐Lew, if you're reading this - you're a good man. A care package is enroute. Stay Wild.

WE WALKED THE WIGHT! 🚶🏅🏋️♀️ Last Sunday, 37 of us completed Walk the Wight, where we walked 45km from the East -> West side of the Isle of Wight. It was a super tough day filled with lots of ups and downs (both physically and mentally), but after around 8 hours of walking, we made it to the finish line. A great day for team building, and all for a great cause! We're super proud to have raised almost £19,000 for The Ocean Cleanup. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to our fundraiser! 💗🌊 For any final donations, you can head to this link: https://lnkd.in/e-D5btrS

33 marathons in 33 days. A story too Wild to miss. Jordan Adams and Cian Adams lost their mum to Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) when she was just 52. Shortly after, they found out they carry the same genetic mutation. There is currently no cure. Jordan quit his corporate job, and set out to change the world of dementia. He turned his diagnosis into a licence to live, showing people no matter what you go through, you can still have a positive influence on the world. He’s currently on day 16 of his challenge - running 33 marathons in 33 days across the 32 counties of Ireland. As a genuine Wild fan, Jordan was already using Wilds Antiperspirant to get them through every gruelling mile. Our Brand Manager, Tom MacDonald, headed to Ireland to hand-deliver a top up and run the full Belfast Marathon by his side. But we wanted to go further. We turned our Instagram platform over to the FTD Brothers and set a challenge: for every comment of support, Wild would donate 50p to their mission. Safe to say, the community showed up. Thanks to thousands of you sharing personal stories, tributes, and messages of support, we are proudly donating £5,000 to the FTD Foundation to help fund the search for a cure. We’re honored to stand with Jordan and Cian as they fight to change the future of this disease. We have left the donation link and their Instagram profile in the comments for anyone who would like to help them reach their £1.4M goal. Stay Wild, and F*ck dementia.

Who flashed their pits at us at the marathon on Sunday, or wished they did? On Sunday in London, our team soaked up the rays and the atmosphere, and cheered on all 59,000 runners in the way we do best: by wildly swiping our new Roll On Antiperspirant on everyone who ran past our pit stop. (Willing pits only, of course) We went with a few goals in mind: ✨Show up for our community 📣Lose our voices cheering 🏃Swipe as many pits as possible But the highlight? Getting to see so many people’s reactions to our new antiperspirant in person. We worked so hard and for so long on this product, determined to see it stand up to the “marathon test” and, well, the proof is in the pits. Hearing feedback from runners and spectators alike made the early-morning start and hoarse end-of-day voices totally worth it. Huge kudos to every single person who ran yesterday. We’re officially inspired! Check out some of our favourite moments from behind the scenes. 📸👇
