"In the energy industry, conversations often focus on pricing, market volatility and sales performance - and rightly so. But behind every successful partnership, live contract and customer journey is an Operations team working hard to keep everything moving smoothly. As Sales Operations Manager, I’m fortunate to lead a fantastic team of people who support our brokers, TPIs and internal sales teams every single day. From managing sales order queries and overseeing key operational processes, to rolling out live pricing in an increasingly volatile market, no two days are ever the same. 📈 One of the biggest challenges in recent months has been the pace of market movement. Wholesale energy prices can change rapidly, which means operational agility has never been more important. Our role is to ensure pricing is delivered accurately and efficiently, while helping our partners navigate the pressures that volatility can create. Alongside this, we work closely with key partners on commercial arrangements and operational support, always with the same objective in mind - making it as easy as possible to do business with us. 🌟 For me personally, leadership is about creating an environment where people feel empowered, supported and motivated to succeed. Energy can be a demanding industry, particularly in operational roles where priorities shift quickly and responsiveness matters. When payments are missed or balances grow, it’s rarely a choice; it’s usually a reflection of wider financial pressure. 🔍 How we support customers When it comes to debt management, our role goes beyond recovery, it’s about acting fairly, responsibly and with understanding. As a business, that means managing debt effectively while always treating customers with respect and offering realistic, workable options.
