  • The World Cup is coming to the US, Canada and Mexico between 11 June to 19 July 2026 and host cities will be busy. More visitors, tighter security and extra pressure on transport and accommodation. Here’s how to keep business travel moving during the tournament. 🚗 Rethink transport Pre-book private transfers where possible. Taxis/ride-hailing may be scarce and expensive. In some areas, walking or cycling can be faster than public transport during peak fan movement. 🕒 Build in buffer time Expect longer journeys on match days/knockout rounds and allow extra time for connections. 🛂 Expect busier borders Cross-border travel between the US/Mexico/Canada may mean additional checks and longer processing times during peak periods. 📍 Avoid host-city hotspots on match days (where you can) Demand spikes several hours before and after matches. Plan routes around congestion zones and schedule meetings outside peak times. 🏨 Be wise with hotels City centres and stadium-adjacent hotels will be limited and pricier. Consider outlying districts, suburbs or nearby secondary cities. 📲 Stay informed in real time Use alerts from your TMC, airlines and local transport providers; monitor official tournament updates; and lean on traveller tracking and 24/7 incident support for disruption visibility. • We’re still energised by a day filled with insightful conversations, forward‑thinking ideas, and future‑focused debates at our recent &Beyond Summit. Session highlights included: ☁️ Julia Streets, MBE  delivered an energetic keynote on how individuals and organisations can move from “change fatigue” to “change fitness” by strengthening personal resilience, focus and creating the space needed to navigate the accelerating pace of change. ☁️A panel with Dane Molter, Jon Bolger, Ben Gibbs and Kim Hamer explored how travel managers can evolve from day-to-day “firefighting” to strategic leadership by using modern technology to reduce operational friction while still relying on human judgment, trust building, and high-touch expertise to deliver smarter, more resilient travel programmes. ☁️Differing views shared during a debate with Michael Hodgson, Karen Hutchings, Kim Hamer and Ben Custance discussing how traditional travel policies must evolve into flexible, dynamic, tech enabled frameworks that prioritise trust, employee experience, real-time adaptability, and human support - ensuring organisations stay relevant in a rapidly changing travel landscape.    As work and travel continue to evolve, this event is a strong reminder that technology may accelerate change but it’s people and connection that determine how we move through it.  Thanks to our partners British Airways, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Hertz and Avanti West Coast. • With airfare, hotel and ground transport prices finally stabilising, 2026 offers corporate travel teams a real opportunity. Lock in value early and maximise every budget line. Here’s how we’re helping clients stay ahead: 🔹 Book flights earlier for bigger savings  Global airfares are forecast to rise just 0.4% this year*, but major events like the FIFA World Cup will push prices higher.  Early booking not only secures savings but helps teams batch trips to reduce cost, carbon impact and traveller fatigue.    🔹 Secure hotel rates before demand spikes  Hotel rates are expected to increase 1.8% globally*. Early contracting and access to negotiated programmes create a major advantage for our clients. 🔹 Build flexibility into your programme  Economic uncertainty and geopolitical shifts can still affect pricing and demand. Our data-driven approach helps you adapt quicky and negotiate from a position of strength.  🔹 Prioritise sustainability and wellbeing  Planning ahead enables greener fare choices, rail alternatives and better-paced itineraries, all improving employee wellbeing and supporting ESG commitments.     With cost increases predicted to remain modest, 2026 is the year to get ahead.  Your next steps:   • Book flights + hotels early, especially around major global events  • Use negotiated rates and loyalty programmes  • Track economic and geopolitical shifts  • Build sustainability and wellbeing into every trip Find out more 👉 https://lnkd.in/dUM6d76g   * https://lnkd.in/dQwH7JUN
