For the past 48 days, one stat hasn’t left our minds. Only 14% of people in the UK thought charging an EV was cheaper than petrol. 14%!! EVs shouldn’t be limited to people with driveways. Not to brag, but we’ve just taken a big step towards unlocking that... For millions of UK drivers, not having a home charger has been the thing that stops the switch. So we’ve made on-street charging simpler and cheaper. We’re now offering 50% off kerbside charging through Ubitricity and Connected Kerb for new personal lease customers. FREE MONEY? From the UK Government? …not quite, but close! But the maths on EV chargers just changed. Grants are now up to £500 and extended to 2027! Covering roughly half the cost for many homes, and opening eligibility to far more people. It’s a small policy update on paper. But it tackles a very real moment: People get to the point of choosing an EV… and stop at the charger.⚡️ Be honest - was it the cost, or was it just the faff of sorting it that put you off getting a home charger?

📣 The government has just expanded the list of cars eligible for the #ElectricCarGrant - meaning up to £3,750 off some EVs. Models like the Nissan Leaf, Renault 5, Ford Puma Gen-E and Mini Countryman Electric are among those in the top discount band. Even better: there’s nothing to apply for.
