Over this period, we reduced operational emissions by 75% and improved carbon efficiency across our value chain by 45%. In our latest blog, we explore what these results mean in practice, the challenges of balancing growth with sustainability, and why transparency matters. 🔗 Link to blog in comments.

Kainos was recently recognised at the inaugural Computing AI and Software Development Awards, with Kainos Studio picking up the award for Best AI No-Code Tool. Presenting a true no-code platform, Kainos Studio is redefining how organisations are delivering front-end digital services. Unlike traditional tools, Studio combines AI-driven automation with intuitive design to handle accessibility and GDS compliance by default. This is the third award for Kainos Studios, having also picked up accolades for Best AI Automation Tool at last year’s Digital Leaders Awards, and Best Digital Transformation Tool at the recent Tech Impact Awards. Congratulations, team!

Today we published our financial results for the year ended 31 March 2026. We delivered strong growth across the Group, with revenue up 17% to £431 million, and profit slightly ahead of expectations despite planned cost increases. Workday Products continues its rapid momentum and remains on track to deliver £100 million ARR by the end of 2026. Both Digital Services and Workday Services returned to growth, driven by strong sales performance, major contract wins, and a focus on more complex, high-value work. Our AI business also continues to expand as we help customers harness its potential responsibly and at scale. To date we have delivered over 400 AI and data projects, including 158 in FY26. Our people remain the foundation of our success. Across the Group, we have 3,475 people across 17 countries, up from 2,865 last year. Thank you to our customers, colleagues and partners for your continued trust and support. Brendan Mooney, CEO, commented: “Our achievements are based on enduring customer relationships and our engaged and talented workforce. We are proudly celebrating the teams at FCDO & Kainos who worked around the clock for three weeks to support a live crisis response – the project has been recognised at the Transformation in the Public Sector Awards 2026, picking up Best Citizen Facing Transformation. When the crisis in the Middle East began in February 2026, 150,000+ people across the region requested support from the FCDO. Working with FCDO teams, Kainos deployed the digital support that helped made it possible, enabling British Citizens to register their location across the Middle East. The project ensured that: ✅ 150k+ people across 7 countries were supported ✅ At the service’s peak, it handled 300 submissions per minute ✅ 24/7 support was available for 7 countries, up and running within 24 hours Alex Gabriel, Home & Foreign Affairs Account Lead at Kainos said: “I’m delighted to see the team recognised for the critical work delivered during the Middle East crisis. Day in, day out, UK Government digital services have a substantial impact on people’s lives, and FCDO Consular’s digital services are a leading exemplar.”

If you want teams to use a platform, don’t mandate it, make it the easiest route. In the session, we explore treating platforms as long‑lived products: focused on real user needs, removing undifferentiated heavy lifting, and embedding safety by default. Drawing on our experience delivering large‑scale platforms across public sector — capability recognised through our Microsoft Agentic DevOps with Azure and GitHub Specialization. ▶️ Watch on demand: https://okt.to/oRWFwB #PlatformEngineering #DeveloperExperience #PublicSectorTechnology
