𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝟐 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐛 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞   Today marks a significant step forward on the project with HS2. Due to the complex arrangement of shafts and structural constraints, the slab was delivered in multiple pours. With the final section now complete, the entire slab has been fully constructed.   This was a major reinforced concrete operation, involving: - Rebar installation up to 40mm diameter - Raft slab thicknesses of up to 2 metres in depth Alongside this milestone, progress continues across several key RC elements, including: - Retaining walls - Lift and stair cores - Shaft roof structures - Below-shaft tunnel works With multiple work fronts operating simultaneously - and in close proximity to a live rail line - this remains a highly complex and coordinated site. The scope to date has included: ✅ Ground Investigation – 2 No. boreholes to inform subsurface conditions and de-risk delivery ✅ Topographical, utility and delap surveys (including rail access coordination) ✅ F001–F003 UTX design development ✅ Planning for a 120m HDD crossing under rail infrastructure for a 180mm duct installation   Projects like this highlight the importance of robust upfront investigation, coordinated survey work, and detailed design development to ensure safe, efficient and buildable trenchless solutions in constrained rail environments. Proud to mark the successful completion of our 𝙊𝙡𝙙 𝙊𝙖𝙠 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 project - another major infrastructure milestone. 👏 Our team delivered a complex tunnelling and shaft construction package involving deep excavation works, heavy temporary works, pipe installation, and precision engineering in a highly constrained environment.
