The scheme will support Stockport’s ambitious regeneration plans, opening up the River Mersey frontage and bringing new homes, investment and vibrancy to Town Centre East. We kicked off Day Two of UKREiiF by joining the National Wealth Fund to look at how our Strategic Partnership is helping Greater Manchester attract investment, accelerate delivery and deliver good growth. Earlier this year the National Wealth Fund backed our pioneering Good Growth Fund with at least £500 million of investment. Our teams are working closely together, with the National Wealth Fund lending its expertise in project finance and development, as well as funding, to support a range of projects in Greater Manchester's investment pipeline. We're one of four UK devolved regions chosen to trial this new way of collaborating. “The whole point of devolution is allowing us to think long term about our places and what are the optimum conditions for them to deliver for our people," said GMCA Group Chief Executive Caroline Simpson.
