  • The spotlight was on Salford at UKREiiF, with a session centred around how long-term public-private partnerships are shaping the city’s future. Hosted by Stacey Meadwell, the panel was made up of Max Bentham, Laura Percy, Matty Pendergast and John Searle, who focused on collaboration and community as key themes when it comes to placemaking in Salford. With 2026 marking 100 years since Salford was granted city status and 20 years of ECF working in partnership with Salford City Council, the session was a powerful reminder of how working together and regenerating responsibly can positively transform a city. • World-class acoustics building tops out 🔊   The Crescent Partnership is celebrating a major milestone with the topping out of The University of Salford’s new acoustics building – a state-of-the-art facility where research, testing and teaching by specialist academics will take place.   This highly sustainable building is located within Crescent Innovation – a transformative element of the £2.5bn, 240-acre Crescent Salford masterplan. Crescent Innovation will deliver an additional 1.7m sq ft of new research, academic, and commercial floorspace, bringing industry and education together.   The acoustics building will feature:   - A sleep laboratory to understand how noise affects rest and recovery    - A four-chamber Building Environment Testing Suite to measure how effectively modern construction materials protect people from external noise    - Capacity to provide acoustic testing for anything from the hum of a lightbulb to airborne noise.   Once complete in 2027, the acoustics building will put Salford firmly on the map as a city built for the future. • Earth Day 2026 🌍   This year, Earth Day is celebrating ‘Our Power, Our Planet’, highlighting how every action we take can lead to a brighter, more environmentally sustainable future.   Earth Day reflects a global commitment to improving our communities while protecting the natural world around us. At Crescent Salford, we are contributing to this by creating communities that are built to last – whether by crafting new places or preserving what already exists.   The 240-acre, £2.5bn masterplan will build on these foundations to futureproof Salford and support the city’s 2038 net zero goal. It will deliver enhanced public spaces, Passivhaus homes, and improved sustainable transport links, including 1.5 miles of new walking and cycling routes. Transport across Crescent Salford is focused on reducing car dominance, promoting sustainable mobility, and improving overall wellbeing.   By regenerating responsibly, we’re creating places that benefit people and the planet, now and for future generations.   #ED2026 #Regeneration #Sustainable

🎉 Celebrating 100 years of Salford Today marks Salford’s centenary – a moment to celebrate the city’s history, character and continued evolution. From its industrial heritage to the vibrant, growing city it is today, Salford has always been shaped by its people, communities and ambition for the future. We’ve been working with Salford City Council for 20 years, leading regeneration across Salford Central, New Bailey and Crescent Salford as part of that wider story. It has been a privilege to play a role in the city’s journey – delivering new homes, workspace and public spaces that contribute to Salford’s growth. 🎥 This short film features Josie Evason from Muse, sharing her connection to Salford and reflecting on the changes she has seen over time. https://lnkd.in/eCbUt4jg With Homes England | Legal & General | Muse | Salford City Council | Crescent Salford #Salford100 #Regeneration #Partnership

  • The Crescent Salford masterplan was crafted with connectivity and movement in mind.    Salford Crescent station sits at the heart of the masterplan, playing a key role in making the surrounding area accessible to all, while promoting sustainable travel.   As part of upgrades to the station, Network Rail has invested £21m to build a third platform, which is due to complete later this year and is set to improve passenger flow and make journeys more reliable.    To ensure students, commuters, residents and visitors have a vibrant welcome to the area, The University of Salford launched a search for an artist to produce heritage artwork for the third platform, the winning artist is set to be announced soon.    Follow the link to learn more: https://lnkd.in/ekQr2U78    Watch this space for updates.   #TransportHub #Salford #Regeneration
