CBAM is coming – and it matters for Stainless Steel From 1 January 2027, the UK will introduce the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). At its core, CBAM places a carbon price on certain imported, carbon‑intensive goods so they face a similar carbon cost to UK‑produced material. For the Stainless Steel sector, this isn’t just a policy headline.
