Earlier this week, I had the fantastic opportunity to attend the McKinsey & Company Green Business Building Global Summit at the scenic Artipelag outside Stockholm. The event sparked many interesting discussions, new connections, and valuable learnings. The key message in particular resonated strongly with me: building solutions that are better, faster, and cheaper. Being only sustainable is not enough. To truly accelerate the transition, we need to deliver products and solutions that are substantially better than existing alternatives. Naturally, the discussions made me reflect on what we are building at Zparq AB - how we operate, how we integrate with our ecosystem, and how we create value for customers. At the end of the day, our technology must be better, faster, and cheaper for customers to choose electric propulsion. Better - We offer a fundamentally different propulsion architecture that is exceptionally compact compared to alternatives - even more so when compared to fossil-fuel systems. Our solution eliminates gears, transmissions, and mechanical seals, resulting in a highly robust system with very few failure points. The modular design also enables the same core components to be used across a broad range of applications. Faster - We do not build vessels ourselves; we enable boat and platform builders with a critical capability. Beyond delivering groundbreaking propulsion technology, we help de-risk development by taking full responsibility for the end-to-end electric propulsion system. Through modularity and well-documented interfaces, we enable customers to accelerate their own pace of innovation. Cheaper - From a total cost of ownership perspective, our solution is already significantly more cost-efficient in several applications. Our systems also require substantially less maintenance. In fact, we monitor more than 200 data points in real time to detect deviations early, helping operators reduce unplanned downtime and operational disruptions.
