Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak at REGATEC in Lund, Sweden and share some exciting news, that after 10+ years of bringing together Europe's renewable gas community, REGATEC is joining the Flame portfolio as RegatecX. We're not replacing the legacy, we're building on it and the mission remains unchanged; driving science, technology and industry together, securing Europe’s energy future and supporting the transition to sustainable energy solutions. REGATEC has been a cornerstone of the European renewable gas industry for over a decade, and we're committed to maintaining the technical rigor, quality of dialogue, and collaborative spirit that Jörgen Held and Frank Scholwin created. We look forward to continuing this incredible journey together in Amsterdam in 2027. #REGATEC #Flame #RenewableGas #EnergyTransition

  • On the third and final day of FLAME, we caught up with Fanni Kummer, Structured Trading Manager at E.ON UK ENERGY MARKETS LIMITED UK, for a quick chat on weather risk, hedging and why flexibility matters more than ever in gas trading. Fanni discussed how flexible weather derivatives can give energy retailers more room to respond when risks shift, from warm to cold, cold to warm, portfolio changes and volume swings. After a turbulent winter, the conversation felt especially relevant for traders managing P&L volatility in fast-moving gas and power markets. Her message was clear: traditional one-off hedging approaches are becoming harder to rely on. The market needs more product development, more counterparties and sharper tools to manage weather exposure. Take a closer look at the conversation. 📍 FLAME 2026 | Hotel Okura Amsterdam #FLAME2026 #FLAME #FlameConf

  • Not every valuable conversation starts with a formal introduction. Between sessions at Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the networking spaces have been filled with coffee catch ups, familiar faces, shared laughs and the kind of conversations that make this industry feel smaller than it is. Alongside the market discussions and business meetings, FLAME 2026 has also created space for genuine connections between people who spend the year working across different corners of the global gas and LNG sector. Some partnerships begin in meeting rooms. Some start over coffee and a good story. 📍 19–21 May 2026 | Okura, Amsterdam #FLAME2026 #FLAME #FlameConf

  • Diversification is only useful when the supply can actually move. At FLAME, Chima Mba Kalu, Manager of Marketing and Business Development at Nigeria LNG Limited Oil & Energy, spoke about NLNG’s role as a strategically positioned supplier in the Atlantic Basin, with access to Europe, South America and wider global markets. Nigeria LNG sits among the world’s major LNG suppliers NLNG owns its own fleet, giving it flexibility in global delivery Its Atlantic Basin location supports easier access into Europe Europe’s need for diversified supply creates a clear role for Nigerian LNG As energy markets face disruption and Europe looks for reliable supply options, NLNG’s position, flexibility and export capacity make this a timely conversation. Play and hear Chima’s perspective in full. 📍 19–21 May 2026 | Okura, Amsterdam #FLAME2026 #FLAME #FlameConf
