We are partnering with a high-growth global FinTech business seeking a French-speaking Financial Controller to join their expanding finance team in Amsterdam.

The Role

Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Financial Controller will take ownership of financial reporting, controls, compliance, and business partnering activities across several global entities, with a particular focus on French-speaking markets.

You will play a key role in driving financial accuracy, supporting strategic decision-making, and improving finance processes within a rapidly scaling organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and review statutory and management accounts
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
• Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and commercial teams
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with tax advisors
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems and processes
• Support international expansion and finance transformation projects

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
• Fluent in both French and English
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller or similar role
• Experience within FinTech, Financial Services, Technology, or a fast-paced international business preferred
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
