We are building a reliable and  compliant real‑time consolidation of EU market data, together with related services designed for and with the market community. EuroCTP has been selected by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) as the first consolidated tape provider (CTP) for Shares and ETFs in the European Union.

About the role:

The Business Controller supports the Management Board and the senior leadership team by providing clear, reliable financial analysis across unit economics, cost structures, and strategic initiatives.

The role supports the Finance leadership in maintaining MiFIR/RCB compliant cost structures, transparent and defensible to auditors and regulators. We also expect the business controller to actively contribute to financial strategy (e.g., assessments of partnerships, new offerings), ensuring that financial implications are well understood and aligned with the company’s regulatory, operational and governance constraints.

This position is suitable for a finance or consulting professional with strong analytical capability and an ability to work pragmatically with cross‑functional teams, both individually as well as in close cooperation with the rest of the (small) finance team. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Tech, Product, Operations and the CEO’s office, providing decision‑ready inputs for Board‑level materials.

You will report directly to the Management Board member responsible for finance, legal and regulatory affairs. The role requires a strong business acumen to assess, quantify, and steer the company’s strategic financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

Unit Economics & Cost Structure

· Build, maintain and update EuroCTP’s unit‑economics models, including incremental vs. fixed cost structure, and scaling profiles.

· Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the cost  allocation framework, including technical, operational, regulatory and resilience‑related components.

· Support the Management Board in ensuring that cost allocations remain MiFIR/RCB compliant, transparent, and defensible to auditors and regulators.

· Produce contribution‑margin analyses for the Core Tape and Additional Services.

Strategic Financial Support

· Prepare financial inputs for strategic partnerships, vendor arrangements, and long‑term commercial or technical commitments, including scenario analysis and impact assessments.

· Support potential shareholding structure evolutions and prepare financing‑related materials in close cooperation with the legal team as well as external advisors, where relevant.

· Assist in preparing Board‑ready financial materials

· Ensure high documentation standards, including traceability of assumptions and alignment with regulatory and audit expectation.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

· Act as a financial partner to internal team leaders, ensuring that financial implications are understood early in the decision process.

· Prepare revenue forecasts, including relevant sensitivities and stress cases.

· Work collaboratively with Sales, Product, Tech and Operations to ensure financial assumptions reflect real delivery and cost structures.

· Collaboration with external advisors where relevant.

What we are looking for:

· 4-5 years’ experience in strategic finance, consulting, transaction services, business controlling, or equivalent roles

· Strong analytical skills and experience with unit economics, scenario modelling, and financial frameworks for strategic decision‑making.

· Comfortable operating with incomplete information and exercising judgement in a regulated, fast‑scaling environment.

· Knowledge of regulated environments, or willingness to learn MiFIR/RCB and similar regulatory frameworks.

· Capacity to translate financial analysis into clear, concise insights for senior management.

· Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.

· A structured, reliable and pragmatic working style; comfortable operating in a fast‑changing, international scale-up.

· Team‑oriented professional, able to collaborate across departments and build trust through high‑quality, consistent work.
