  • From ambition to delivery: WindEurope 2026 in Madrid⚡️ Once again, WindEurope proved to be a valuable moment for connection. 🤝 We would like to thank everyone who engaged with us at our stand, in bi-lateral meetings, and throughout the many (social) side events during the week. Together, these conversations highlighted a clear message: offshore wind is central to Europe’s energy future. 🌊 WindEurope 2026 came at a decisive moment for Europe’s energy transition, and Madrid made one thing very clear. Europe has both the technology and the ambition to scale offshore wind. Now is the time to focus on speed, delivery, and electrification to strengthen our energy security and competitiveness. To unlock its full potential, however, grids, markets, and demand must evolve in parallel and across borders. A special thank you to WindEurope for the excellent organisation 👏 and to NedZero - Branchevereniging voor windenergie for the warm hospitality at the Dutch Pavilion. #windeurope2026 #offshorewind #energytransition #energysecurity #electrification

  • We proudly publish our Integrated Annual Report 2025. In 2025, we made significant progress in strengthening the electricity system in the Netherlands and Germany. TenneT Holding’s investments reached EUR 14.8 billion, including EUR 4.9 billion in the Netherlands and EUR 9.9 billion in Germany. These onshore and offshore investments help future-proof the electricity grid and Europe’s competitiveness, economic strength, resilience and longterm prosperity. At the same time, the year highlighted the growing complexity of our task. Several projects faced delays due to permitting, siting decisions and land acquisition. Despite these challenges, grid availability remained high at 99.99977%, and we continued expanding capacity in both national grids. A major milestone was the introduction of a new funding structure that secures TenneT’s longterm financial position. It enables TenneT Netherlands and TenneT Germany to focus on their national responsibilities while continuing to benefit from group synergies: In the Netherlands, a state guarantee supports largescale investments in the Dutch grid over the next decade. - In Germany, building on the EUR 9.5 billion equity commitment from three institutional investors in September 2025, TenneT agreed early this year to sell a 25.1% stake in TenneT Germany to KfW for approximately EUR 3.3 billion, further strengthening the company’s financial position - Our progress was only possible through close collaboration with partners, governments, communities, and more than 10,000 colleagues across both countries. Together, we are building an electricity system that strengthens Europe’s  longterm prosperity. ⚡ View the full Integrated Annual Report 2025 at: https://lnkd.in/esPiwzsE

  • Yesterday, together with Gasunie, we welcomed a delegation from the Dutch Ministerie van Financiën (Ministry of Finance) for a working visit to strategic energy infrastructure projects in northern Germany🤝. This visit offered valuable perspective on the contributions of Dutch state-owned companies to a reliable and sustainable energy system for Germany and North-West Europe. Gasunie is constructing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Brunsbüttel, while we are building a tunnel under the Elbe as part of the SuedLink project🏗️.   In the German LNG project, public and market parties are working together to increase gas supply capacity via an LNG import terminal. This project began in a complex context, but has grown into a solid public-private partnership, thanks in part to the involvement of our shareholder, the Ministry of Finance, and cooperation with the German state and companies such as KfW and RWE. Furthermore, changing geopolitical circumstances have increased the project's strategic value for Europe even further 🌍.   In the afternoon, the focus shifted to TenneT Germany's SuedLink project. Here, we are working on the construction of a tunnel beneath the Elbe River, a technically complex part of one of Germany’s most important electricity connections⚡️.    The visit showed that state-owned enterprises play an important role in strengthening energy security and developing critical infrastructure. With long-term investments, technical expertise and a clear public mandate, we are creating infrastructure that the market alone cannot build.

  • A stronger and more interconnected European grid is essential for a resilient and competitive Europe⚡🌍   We welcome the focus of the Grids Package on grid expansion and optimisation. Successful acceleration, however, will depend on effective cooperation between European, regional and national stakeholders, and practical implementation.   Based on our experience in cross-border infrastructure development, we share several practical reflections for the upcoming negotiations at EU-level.    📄Read our full policy recommendations in our position paper: https://lnkd.in/ezntyPYg   #gridspackage #europe #energytransition #interconnection #resilience #EUgrids #energyinfrastructure

  • 🚀 First milestone reached! TSO Innovation Alliance open call The Innovation Alliance is a cooperation of 8 European TSO’s. The goal of the collaboration is to work together on innovations for the energy transition. After 86 applications and inspiring live pitches in Berlin, we’ve selected two partners for two exciting projects: 🔍Topic 1 — Diagnostic & forecasting tools for extreme weather events (control room operations): Eoliann will drive this initiative. 🔍 Topic 2 — Climate-proof network planning & investment: refinq will be taking on this challenge. These projects offer tremendous opportunities for shared learning and highlight the power of cross-border innovation within the TSO Innovation Alliance. It’s inspiring to see how collaboration across TSOs accelerates our collective journey toward a climate-neutral energy system. A big thank you to all applicants and partner TSOs. Here’s to building the grid of the future together!

  • Today, TenneT Holding has reached an agreement with KfW, acting on behalf of the German government, for the acquisition of a 25.1% stake in TenneT Germany for approx. €3.3 billion. This investment: ⚡ Strengthens TenneT Germany’s financial position as the owner of strategic infrastructure in Germany 🤝 Follows the earlier €9.5 billion commitment from APG, GIC and Norges Bank Investment Management 🌬️ Ensures our continued cross-border cooperation on North Sea offshore development and grid innovation TenneT Holding will retain at least 28.9% of the shares in TenneT Germany, safeguarding strategic alignment and largely retaining the synergy benefits of the collaboration between TenneT Netherlands and TenneT Germany. The direct purchase of shares by KfW will enable TenneT to repay approx. €3.3 billion of the shareholder loan from the Dutch State. TenneT remains committed to ensuring a reliable, sustainable and affordable electricity supply. 📄 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/ezgZneiD
