As a proper Dutch med-tech company, at Pacmed we mainly nerd out on two things: building great software, and 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 🚴 Last weekend, we focused fully on the second one (of course, also honouring the start of the Giro d’Italia 👚) For the third year in a row, our almost-official team, the 𝑾𝒐𝒍𝒇𝑷𝒂𝒄𝘮𝘦𝘥 🐺, organized a weekend away for both current and former colleagues. This time we happily returned to our beloved Limburg – which, for me, is as close as I can get to the feeling of being back in Tuscany without having to leave the country (alright, alright, sort of...) The strongest climbers (guess who – not me) covered almost 200 km and 2000 m of elevation in two days, while some others, new to the sport, were pretty shocked to find out that there are actually some fairly steep climbs in the Netherlands. Mostly, we all just wanted an excuse for a photo-op with beautiful green hills in the background while wearing our shiny new branded cycling shirts. The real reason to go to Limburg in spring is, of course, the food. Our volunteer chefs (guess who - yes me) fed the hungry peloton with kilos of asparagus risotto, fresh pesto, and vlaai with ✨ incredible✨ local strawberries. Of course, after riding through vineyards all day long, we couldn’t say no to a cheeky little tasting of Maastricht’s best white wines 🍾🍓☀️ The best (and cheesiest) part: despite spending a full weekend together, we somehow managed not to talk about work for a single minute. Pretty impressive achievement for a bunch of people who love their jobs 💙🩷 Bas Vonk Corien Staels Geert Klop Leon Derks Anouk Eimers Sebastiaan Blok Olivier Thijssens Danae Beskers Madalena Pavão Leonardo Tavares Baba Oliveira Jim Hoekstra
