A stronger industry starts with stronger collaboration 🌍🤝 At IMEX Frankfurt, ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and AC Forum formalised a new collaboration built around one shared ambition: Creating meaningful outcomes for the global #BusinessEvents community. This is not a symbolic partnership, it’s an outcome- and impact-driven collaboration focused on delivering real value for ICCA and AC Forum members, while helping shape a stronger and more connected industry for the future. Over the next years, both organisations will work together on key priorities that matter to our sector, including advancing a sustainability pathway towards Net Zero Carbon Events, developing industry-wide event bidding guidelines, and creating joint advocacy tools that strengthen the voice of the global meetings industry. Most importantly, this work will go beyond conversations. Through dedicated sessions at the ICCA Congress and AC Forum Annual Meetings, both communities will come together to exchange ideas, share progress, and turn collaboration into action. Day 1 at #IMEX26: where the ICCA community comes together. From the ICCA Welcome to the Plenary and Global Advocacy Alliance Forum, the week started with a clear focus: where we go next, and how we get there together. Across sector and chapter meetings, members exchanged ideas, aligned priorities, and strengthened collaboration across regions. Strong engagement also at the ICCA Global Business Exchange and Business Intelligence Database training, turning data into decisions, and decisions into opportunities. And that’s a wrap on #ICCAAssociationCircle26! 🌍🤝 Over 2 intensive days in Frankfurt, the first Association Circle brought together 29 associations and 54 ICCA members from 30+ countries, delivering our strongest ever ratio between associations and members. The result: A highly focused, high-value exchange exactly as this format was designed to deliver. We tackled one of the most urgent topics shaping the future of global events: Risk management. Timely, relevant, and in the right setting, it has now set a clear benchmark for future Association Circle editions. From here, the direction is simple: connecting associations and members through sharp, relevant topics powered by data, insight and research-driven content. The new format was a clear success and sets a new standard for education in the industry, turning conversation into practical learning with immediate value for participants. A special thank you to Copenhagen Convention Bureau and all our partners for supporting this inaugural edition and helping bring it to life.
