This Saturday, 23rd May, Heineken® will be putting on the ultimate UWCL Final watch party for women’s football fans. Featuring a Q&A with legend Toni Duggan and Izzy Christiansen, a DJ for the pre- and post-match party, and live coverage of the game on the big screens, it’s one you definitely won’t want to miss. But that’s not all… Heineken® will be redistributing the proceeds of every pint poured at the bar on Saturday night back into the women’s game through our community partners: Baller FC, Goal Diggers FC, Romance FC, Victoria Park Vixens, and Women in Football. In fact, we’re also donating above and beyond the value of every pint sold, increasing the total contribution made on the night. We know that live sport is best experienced when it’s shared with other fans. Today at The HEINEKEN Company we published our first quarter results, reporting a solid quarter with quality volume growth. Premium volume grew 5.8%, led by Heineken® up 6.9%. Low- and non-alcohol (LONO) grew by a double-digit led by Heineken® 0.0 globally and Maltina in Nigeria. We welcomed our new colleagues from FIFCO’s beverage and retail businesses acquisition. Freddy(ai), our end-to-end AI solution across commerce, is helping accelerate systemic innovation launches. Full year outlook: based on current assessment, confirm operating profit expected to grow in the 2% to 6% range. As this is my last report as CEO, I would like to thank all our customers, employees, investors, and other stakeholders for their trust over the past six years. I leave the company end of May with the firm conviction of the long-term attractiveness of the beer category and of HEINEKEN’s ability to share and capture the growth that will create sustainable value for decades to come. You probably know me more from the F1 stands than a padel court, but this was too good not to share. I’m genuinely excited to welcome Serena Williams as a global ambassador for Heineken® 0.0. She’s one of the greatest competitors of all time and what I love about this partnership is the message behind it: be open to trying something new, sport is better when it is shared, and the best moments are the ones that bring people together. Seeing this, I may have to swap the F1 for the padel court… at least for a cold Heineken® 0.0 after the match. 🍻
