Incredible couple of days at Deep Tech Momentum event in Berlin. Lots of insightful discussions and real call for action to scale AI adoption through commercialisation of European technologies. Europe has the science, the talent, the sovereign capital. Now it’s time to create deliberate demand to scale sovereign AI industrial infrastructure. Axelera AI plays pivotal role in this AI race enabling inference acceleration at highest performance level but for fraction of the cost and power consumption. Our product is in full production, European partners need to continue to buy it! Evaluating new AI hardware usually means weeks of integration work before you even know if it's go do what you want. New compiler, new runtime, preprocessing quirks to debug. By the time you've ported your model and rebuilt your pipeline, you've burned a month or more. The new Ultralytics and Axelera integration removes that friction. If you're training with Ultralytics YOLO, you can export to Metis AIPU, validate accuracy, and run a working pipeline with tools you already know. Export is a single function call: 💻 pythonmodel.export(format="axelera") That compiles and quantizes your model to int8. No retraining, no architecture changes. Validation uses the same yolo val you already trust, so the accuracy comparison is apples-to-apples against your own baseline, not a vendor proxy benchmark. From there, a full pose estimation and tracking pipeline runs in 15 lines of Python using the Voyager SDK. Preprocessing, inference, postprocessing, tracking, all in one pipeline builder. If the accuracy numbers work, you keep going. If they don't, you've lost an afternoon, not a quarter. How do you prevent burnout in your organization? Fabrizio Del Maffeo and Tony Jamous took the stage today at Web Summit Vancouver with Rhett Power and discussed some of the challenges, and opportunities, as companies scale. Few key takeaways: - As a leader, ensure you are helping people prioritize the important and the urgent. A simple 2x2 helps determine how people spend their time and focus. - The "old playbook" isn't gone - AI isn't killing the "old playbook," it's making the playbook even more important (the playbook being to focus on building real value for your customers) - Uncertainty can breed fear, and fear yields paralysis. Your job as a #leader is to ensure you are the stabilizer within the organization. There's a saying: Be the calm person in the boat. This analogy is so appropriate given the sea of change we all are navigating. What else would you add from your own experience?

Point at your TV, andt turns on. Point at the lamp, and it dims. No remote, no voice command, no cloud. This is Project GAIUS, built by Axelera community member David Katus using the Orange Pi 5 Plus + Metis M.2. The system uses multi-camera triangulation and epipolar geometry to build a live 3D skeleton, then casts a ray from shoulder through elbow to wrist to figure out exactly which device you're pointing at. Fully local, fully offline. The gesture recognition model (trained on HaGRID) runs really well on the Metis. LG WebOS TVs get direct WebSocket integration. There's even a Tkinter room designer for mapping your physical space! The whole thing is open source, including the architecture docs, calibration manual, and 3D math walkthrough, making it a great weekend project for the AI builders out there.
