  • At Affidea, our culture is built around people. In a brief conversation, Eduardo Blazquez Gomez, Chief HR Officer at Affidea Group, reflects on a belief central to who we are: exceptional patient #care starts with the people who deliver it. That is why #education, professional #development and continuous #growth are so important across our European network. By investing in our teams, we strengthen not only their expertise, but also the quality, #innovation and care we offer to our patients every day. 💙 Affidea brings together many countries and local cultures. Yet across our organisation, a people-centric culture unites us, where teams are supported to grow and work in an environment that enables them to perform at their best. Because in healthcare, the future is shaped by people: their knowledge, their commitment, and their ability to make a difference in every patient interaction. #PeopleCentricCulture #HealthcareLeadership #TalentDevelopment #LearningAndDevelopment #EmployeeGrowth #CareCulture

At Affidea, #personalised #care starts with listening. As José Antonio Estellés Trenco, Director of Dentistry Operations at Affidea Spain, shares, truly patient-centred care means being close to people, understanding their individual needs, and ensuring that every patient receives the care that is right for them. Because healthcare is not only about treatment, it is about people feeling heard, understood, and cared for at every step of their journey. 💙 #PersonalisedCare #PatientCentredCare #Dentistry #Healthcare #Affidea With: Theodore Kravvas, Nuno Henriques, Catarina Mendes, Oana Dumitroiu, Carla Silla Ferrís, Jose Luis Lluesma, Austeja Simanaviciute, Rita O’Neill, Monica Lameiras, Sergio Ruiz de Llanza

  • Not every part of the care journey happens on a scan, in a consultation room, or through a procedure. Often, it starts with a conversation. In this video, Juozas Kupčiūnas, physiotherapist at Affidea Lietuva (Lithuania), speaks about what it really takes to support a patient through recovery, understanding their fears, building #trust, and staying alongside them through every high and low of the journey. Because healing is rarely linear. It requires more than clinical expertise. It requires teams who listen, who align, and who know how to meet each patient where they are. At Affidea, this is how we deliver #care. Through multi-disciplinary teams that combine medical excellence with a deep understanding of the individual behind every case. This is what personalised care looks like in practice. Not a concept, but something patients feel, every step of the way. 💙 #Affidea #PersonalisedCare #IntegratedCare #PatientExperience #Healthcare Austeja Simanaviciute, Vitalijus Orlovas, Viktorija Ulinskė, Giedrė Teresevičienė, Oana Dumitroiu, Daiva Adomaitienė

  • Affidea continues to expand its integrated care model in Switzerland with the acquisition of Berner Urologen AG, a well-established urology practice with locations in Bern and Langenthal. This step goes beyond footprint growth. It strengthens our ability to deliver end-to-end urology pathways, from advanced diagnostics to highly specialised day-surgery care within a coordinated, out-of-hospital setting closer to patients. Berner Urologen brings strong clinical expertise across diagnostic assessments, conservative treatments, and complex procedures, including robot-assisted and microsurgical techniques. Combined with our existing Uroviva network across Zurich, Zug, Lucerne and Solothurn, this enables a more seamless patient journey, connecting #diagnosis, #treatment and follow-up within one integrated system. Extending this model into the canton of Bern enhances access to high-quality, coordinated #urology services, while reinforcing our long-term strategy to scale specialised care pathways across Switzerland. “Berner Urologen AG is an excellent fit for Affidea Switzerland and represents an important step in the further development of our urology network. With this acquisition, we are strategically expanding our outpatient medical services and strengthening our presence in the Bern region,” says Marc-André Christinat, CEO of Affidea Switzerland. Dr Charles Niehaus, Executive Director of the Affidea Group, added: “This acquisition reflects how we are continuing to evolve our model of #care, expanding our network of leading collaborative clinicians, moving beyond standalone services towards fully integrated, patient-centred pathways. In urology, this means connecting early diagnostics, specialist expertise and treatment within one coordinated ecosystem, improving both clinical outcomes and patient experience. Switzerland is a key market for Affidea, and this step strengthens our ability to scale high-quality, out-of-hospital care in a structured and sustainable way across Europe.” Read our full press release here: https://lnkd.in/gAtc2Fvc #Affidea #IntegratedCare #Urology #OutOfHospitalCare #HealthcareExpansion #PatientCentredCare

  • #Personalised #care defines how we deliver healthcare every day. In this video, @David Sweetnam, Consultant Knee Surgeon at Affidea’s Fortius Clinic in the UK, speaks to a simple but powerful truth: patients should never feel like numbers in a system. They should feel seen, understood, and confident that they are in a place that will truly look after them. This is what it means to personalise #care. To shape every interaction around the individual, to listen with intent, to build trust through consistency, and to combine clinical excellence with a genuine human connection. Because better healthcare is not only about what we deliver, it is about how people experience it. And that experience should always reflect one thing: that every person who walks through our door matters. #Affidea #PersonalisedCare #PatientExperience #IntegratedCare #Healthcare

  • At Affidea, advancing imaging goes hand in hand with improving patient #safety and #sustainability. We invite you to watch this video where Chryssa Paraskevopoulou, Affidea Group Dose Management and Radiation Protection Manager, shares how #personalised contrast media administration is supporting us in delivering #safe, #green and #responsible imaging. By tailoring the right amount of contrast media to each patient, considering clinical indication, renal function, patient habitus and scanner technology, we can strengthen diagnostic outcomes while optimising the use of resources. 💙 “As imaging continues to evolve, performance will be measured not only by clinical quality, but also by sustainability, cost efficiency and the overall value delivered to patients and healthcare systems”, states Chryssa Paraskevopoulou. #Affidea #PatientSafety #SustainableHealthcare #MedicalImaging #Innovation #GreenerImaging

  • Guy Blomfield, CEO of Affidea and Chairman of the Management Board, joined industry leaders at the LaingBuisson's Investing in Healthcare Conference in London, speaking in the “Growth of the Outpatient Sector” panel, together with Justin Hely, CEO of GenesisCare, in a discussion moderated by Ali Bahram, Associate Partner at Mansfield Advisors. The conference convened healthcare leaders, policymakers, investors and providers to address one of the most pressing questions in healthcare today: how to sustainably shift care closer to patients while maintaining #quality and #access. Affidea's CEO highlighted the structural forces accelerating this transformation across Europe — ageing populations, the rise of chronic diseases, increasing pressure on hospital capacity, and patients’ expectations for faster, more accessible, high-quality care delivered closer to home. Drawing on Affidea’s experience across multiple markets, he emphasised the strength of our integrated, out-of-hospital model in responding to these challenges, expanding system capacity, reducing waiting times, and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in community settings. As Guy Blomfield noted: “The future of healthcare lies closer to patients. Across Europe, we are seeing a clear shift toward integrated, out-of-hospital #care driven by the need to expand capacity, improve #access, and respond to rising patient expectations. When care is better coordinated and delivered closer to communities, it becomes more #personalised, more efficient, and ultimately delivers better outcomes while supporting the long-term sustainability of healthcare systems.” At Affidea, this model is already delivering impact at scale across Europe, demonstrating that high-quality care, when designed around patients and supported by strong clinical governance and digital innovation, can effectively move beyond the traditional hospital setting. We thank LaingBuisson for the invitation to this important conversation. #outpatient, #patientcare #accesstocare #personalisedcare

  • Healthcare Business International highlighted the insightful panel, moderated by François C., Managing Director, Enterprise Solutions, GE HealthCare, that brought together Dr Charles Niehaus, Executive Director Affidea Group, @Alexander Klos, CFO Beyond Imaging and Ranjan Singh, CEO and Co-Founder HealthHero, in a relevant discussion exploring how partnerships, digital innovation, and patient-centred models are actively reshaping healthcare delivery across systems. The discussion made one point clear: #AI and #data are shaping clinical decision-making, but their value is only realised when they are meaningfully integrated into end-to-end care pathways. The panel aligned on a critical enabler for the future: unified access to patient data. “Healthcare needs to move from episodic to longitudinal care, with a single source of truth so we understand the real lifetime cost of delivering health, not just one-off episodes. We need systems where AI, data, and #personalised medicine guide patients through their care efficiently. That is the future of healthcare, and partnerships are a key part of it”, commented Dr Charles Niehaus. In partnership with GE HealthCare, this session on "Next-generation partnerships: How to deliver on healthcare transformation" reinforced the importance of collaboration in building more connected, outcome-driven healthcare systems. 🔍 The full editorial write-up is available here on the Healthcare Business International platform: https://lnkd.in/g92vv7aR

  • On #WorldHealthDay2026, we are reminded that the true measure of progress in #healthcare is not the advancement of technology alone, but the outcomes and experiences we deliver for every patient we serve. At Affidea, this principle is central to our mission as we operate across the entire patient pathway, from prevention and early detection to precise treatment and follow-up. As our Senior Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Alessandro Roncacci, stated, achieving exceptional results requires a shift in focus from isolated interventions to a model of truly #integratedcare. This means strengthening the key dimensions of #value by combining clinical excellence with a commitment to consistency, reducing variability through strong clinical governance, and ensuring that every patient moves through their care journey in a connected and timely way. "Exceptional #outcomes are never the result of a single medical act. They are delivered through the seamless collaboration between specialist doctors, radiologists, technicians, and clinical staff, all working within integrated pathways and aligned around a shared objective: achieving the best possible outcome and experience for each patient. Our responsibility is to ensure that scientific progress—from AI to genetics—is integrated into daily clinical practice in a standardised and safe way that translates into real benefit." — Dr. Alessandro Roncacci Delivering this level of #care at scale requires more than just teamwork; it demands robust clinical leadership and a constant evolution of our care pathways. By investing in the continuous education of our medical professionals and fostering an environment where sub-specialisation can thrive, we ensure that clinical excellence is not just achieved, but sustained. On this World Health Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to our clinical and administrative teams across all markets for their passion, dedication and professionalism and the way they care for each patient, every day! Happy World Health Day! #WorldHealthDay #Affidea #TogetherForHealth #ValueBasedHealthcare #IntegratedCare #ClinicalExcellence

  • On World Health Day, “Together for Health” is more than a theme — it reflects a fundamental shift in how #care is designed, delivered, and experienced. In this message, Guy Blomfield, CEO Affidea Group and Chairman of the Management Board, shares how Affidea is advancing more accessible, community-based healthcare across Europe, bringing care closer, embedding #innovation into everyday practice, and building pathways that respond to what patients truly need. We invite you to read the article and reflect on how we can continue to shape a more connected, accessible, and patient-centred healthcare model — #together. 💙
