From botanical extracts and essential oils to the natural ingredients behind many fragrances and skincare formulations, bees make it possible for countless plants to thrive. When pollinator populations such as bees decline, yield and quality are directly affected, impacting the stability and sustainability of ingredients used in the beauty industry. At Shiseido's East Windsor Factory, we actively support bee-friendly habitats through our on-site beekeeping initiatives. Our teams participate in honey harvesting, educational programs, and ongoing data collection to better understand and sustain healthy bee populations.     Clé de Peau Beauté Renews Three-Year Global Partnership with UNICEF, Aiming to Reach an Additional 7.3 Million Girls👩 Since 2019, CPB's support has contributed to UNICEF's Gender Equality Programs, which have reached 12.9 million girls worldwide, well beyond the partnership's original goal. In this new phase, CPB's contribution can help UNICEF reach an additional 7.3 million girls. The programs supported by Clé de Peau Beauté will expand from STEM to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), incorporating Arts and creativity. By fusing scientific and technical knowledge with artistic perspectives, the initiative helps girls gain confidence in their own creativity and develop the power to shape their futures. Through this continued partnership, CPB's support will help UNICEF empower more girls globally, supporting the realization of a better society where the next generation can shape their own futures with confidence or reach their fullest potential.     Shiseido Wins Multiple Awards Across Two International Ad Festivals, Including Spikes Asia Grand Prix🏆 The project "BEST AFTER 2055," created by Shiseido's Art & Creation Department, won the Grand Prix in the Design category at Spikes Asia 2026 and a Gold Award in the Design category at ADFEST (Official) 2026. "BEST AFTER 2055" is an initiative to preserve the endangered food culture of "Ogi Miso" on Ogi Island in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. By canning this traditional miso, the project introduces a new approach to cultural preservation through experience-based design, aimed at sustaining Ogi Island's unique identity and carrying this legacy forward.     Shiseido Develops New Sunscreen Technology to Eliminate White Cast🧑🔬 Tired of sunscreen leaving white marks on your favorite black clothes? A key factor behind this issue is the "powders" contained within conventional sunscreens. Historically, water-based sunscreens were valued for their light texture and ease of application; however, they were also prone to being washed away by sweat and water. Consequently, UV scattering agents and film-forming agents were required to ensure adequate water resistance. Shiseido has successfully developed a groundbreaking technology that forms a durable, water-resistant film that resists creasing—all without the need for UV scattering agents! This innovation achieves a transparent finish with significantly less white cast. As the formula is less likely to transfer onto clothing, users can now enjoy wearing their favorite outfits with complete confidence.     Celebrating 70 Years of Shiseido Life Quality Makeup: Lavender Ring 2026✨ Shiseido Asia Pacific and Shiseido Singapore recently hosted the fourth edition of LAVENDER RING MAKEUP & PHOTOS WITH SMILES - a social initiative under Shiseido Life Quality Makeup (SLQM) that supports appearance care for cancer patients and survivors. SLQM is an initiative dedicated to supporting improving emotional well-being, confidence, and quality of life for people affected by conditions such as cancer-related appearance changes, scars, and birthmarks, as it marks its 70th anniversary this year. Through LAVENDER RING MAKEUP & PHOTOS WITH SMILES, participants enjoyed a personalized makeover session with our professional Shiseido beauty consultants and hair specialist partners Shunji Matsuo and Aderans. They were also invited to have tailored skincare consultations and take-home special gift bags, which included Shiseido product samples, vouchers from our partners, and a photo of their choice from the photoshoot. We extend our deepest gratitude to our Shiseido volunteers, Singapore Cancer Society, and hair specialist partners for bringing smiles and greater confidence to 57 participants!
