Today, on World Earth Day, one thing is evident: the energy transition is already underway. The latest data from the Copernicus ECMWF shows that the global average temperature has reached +1.47°C compared to pre-industrial levels, bringing us to the edge of the 1.5°C threshold. At the same time, for the first time in history, wind and solar power have surpassed fossil fuels in electricity generation across the European Union in 2024, marking a structural and irreversible shift. The foundations of the energy transition are firmly in place: mature technologies, available capital, and clear climate targets. What remains is the ability to navigate complexity and turn these elements into concrete outcomes. The challenge is not what to do. It’s how to make complex systems work at scale, at speed. NatPower operates at this level, integrating development, finance, territories and technologies to structure coherent and bankable energy systems. This is what it means to be The Energy Enabler. #EarthDay2026 #EnergyTransition #NatPower #NatPowerGroup NatPower UK NatPower Marine

📅 15 aprile 2026 📍 Bologna, Zanhotel & Meeting Centergross 🕔 Ore 17:15 NatPower UK NatPower Marine NatPower Marine Italia

“We are a price taker, not a price maker… we need home-grown, clean power that we control.” — Ed Miliband This statement goes straight to the heart of the UK’s energy challenge. We have the opportunity to move from being price takers to shaping our own energy future by investing in home-grown, green power that we control. For decades, the system has been exposed to external shocks, with global events translating directly into higher prices, volatility, and pressure on households and businesses. We have seen this pattern repeat itself time and time again. The real challenge lies in moving beyond reacting to the next crisis and instead building a system that is inherently less exposed to it from the outset. A system based on home-grown clean energy is a critical step to enable the energy transition. To truly take control, the system must also be able to manage, store, and deploy that energy effectively. It must be flexible, efficient, and resilient by design. This is where strategic infrastructure becomes essential and where NatPower enables this transformation. Moving from price taker to system builder represents a structural shift, one that depends on the infrastructure we choose to build today. Stefano D.M. S. Let’s celebrate the women powering the energy transition. The energy transition is often described in terms of technology, capital and infrastructure. But it is also a transformation of talent. A few numbers help frame the challenge: • Women represent around 32% of the global renewable energy workforce • In the broader energy sector, that share drops to about 22% • Globally, only 28% of STEM professionals are women Data from organisations such as International Renewable Energy Agency and International Energy Agency show that while progress is happening, the gap remains significant. Closing that gap is about more than representation — it’s about unlocking the skills, perspectives and leadership needed to drive the transition forward. Across NatPower’s teams in Italy, the UK, the US, Kazakhstan and Luxembourg, women are playing a vital role in developing projects, structuring partnerships and enabling the infrastructure that will power the next generation of energy systems. As The Energy Enabler, NatPower believes the transition must be not only faster, but also broader, drawing on the full spectrum of talent available. Happy International Women's Day to the incredible women across NatPower Group and around the world.
