We are thrilled to announce a great achievement for Arkad SpA, with the award of a major contract for the Phase 2 Development Project of the Hassi Bir Rekaiz Field in Algeria, by the Groupement HBR - a joint venture between Sonatrach and PTTEP.   This award celebrates our deep-rooted presence and continued growth in a country which belongs to our legacy. Over the past five decades, our performance in more than 30 Projects in Algeria has strengthened our expertise, expanded our technical capabilities, and reinforced our reputation as a reliable EPC partner. The project involves the EPC-based construction of a Central Processing Facility (CPF), capable of processing crude oil and associated gas, along with off-plot pipelines and all related utilities and infrastructure. Arkad SpA will execute the project through a Consortium, led by Petrojet, a trusted partner capable of bringing extensive experience combined with differentiated local execution capabilities. Arkad successfully executed Italy's First SAF (Biojet) Plant 🎯 In 2023, Arkad SpA signed an EPC contract with Enilive for the development of Italy’s first Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production plant at the Gela Biorefinery. Officially inaugurated in January 2025, the project was completed in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety, obtaining the Provisional Acceptance Certificate on 28th May 🥇   This significant milestone, achieved through an effective synergy between Arkad, the client and all project partners, marks a pivotal step towards more sustainable air travel and it demonstrates our ability to successfully and timely overcome the most complex execution challenges.   🔍The Gela Biorefinery produces high-quality biofuel (HVO – Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) using waste-based raw materials such as used cooking oils, animal fats, and residues from the agri-food industry. These are transformed into various biofuels, including HVO diesel, bio-LPG, SAF, and bio naphtha.
