# New Project (SSMA) (AccessToSQL)
Use the **New Project** dialog box to create a new SSMA project. To access the **New Project** dialog box, on the **File** menu, click **New Project**.  
  
## Options  
**Name**  
  
Enter the name of the project. SSMA will append the file extension.  
  
**Location**  
  
Enter or browse to the folder or network location to save the project.  
  
**MigrateTo**  
  
Select one of the target database version from below list

-   [!INCLUDE[ssNoVersion](../../includes/ssnoversion-md.md)] 2008  
  
-   [!INCLUDE[ssNoVersion](../../includes/ssnoversion-md.md)] 2012  
  
-   [!INCLUDE[ssNoVersion](../../includes/ssnoversion-md.md)] 2014  
  
-   [!INCLUDE[ssNoVersion](../../includes/ssnoversion-md.md)] 2016  
  
-   SQL Azure

> A new project of 'SQL Azure' type requires, SQL Server Native Client (SNAC) version 10.5 or above to link Access tables to SQL Azure database.   
> You can obtain the latest version of SNAC from [Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2 Feature Pack](https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx?id=44272).
