  The [ServerNetworkProtocolIPAddress Class](../../../relational-databases/wmi-provider-configuration-classes/servernetworkprotocolipaddress-class/servernetworkprotocolipaddress-class.md) represents an IP address supported by the server network protocol.  
  
 With the [ServerNetworkProtocolIPAddress Class](../../../relational-databases/wmi-provider-configuration-classes/servernetworkprotocolipaddress-class/servernetworkprotocolipaddress-class.md) you can perform the following tasks:  
  
-   Check the name of the instance of [!INCLUDE[msCoName](../../../includes/msconame-md.md)] [!INCLUDE[ssNoVersion](../../../includes/ssnoversion-md.md)].  
  
-   Check the IP address name and the protocol name.  
  
-   Reference properties of the IP address.  
  
-   Enable and disable the IP address.
