# ServerNetworkProtocol Class

  The [ServerNetworkProtocol Class](../../../relational-databases/wmi-provider-configuration-classes/servernetworkprotocol-class/servernetworkprotocol-class.md) represents network protocols installed on an instance of [!INCLUDE[msCoName](../../../includes/msconame-md.md)] [!INCLUDE[ssNoVersion](../../../includes/ssnoversion-md.md)] that enables communication with clients over a network.  
  
 With the [ServerNetworkProtocol Class](../../../relational-databases/wmi-provider-configuration-classes/servernetworkprotocol-class/servernetworkprotocol-class.md), you can:  
  
-   Check the name, version, .dll file, number of properties, and display name of the referenced server network protocol.  
  
-   Reference the properties and IP addresses of the network protocol.  
  
-   Enable and disable the server network protocol.
