# updateBlob Method (int, java.io.InputStream, long)

  Updates the designated column using the specified input stream, which will have the specified number of bytes.  
  
## Syntax  
  
```  
  
public void updateBlob(int columnIndex,  
                       java.io.InputStream inputStream,  
                                              long length)  
```  
  
#### Parameters  
 *columnIndex*  
  
 An **int** that indicates the column index.  
  
 *inputStream*  
  
 An InputStream object.  
  
 *length*  
  
 A **long** that indicates the length of the stream.

## Remarks  
 This updateBlob method is specified by the updateBlob method in the java.sql.ResultSet interface.
