# setFloat Method (SQLServerPreparedStatement)

  Sets the designated parameter to the given **float** value.  
  
## Syntax  
  
```  
  
public final void setFloat(int n,  
                           float x)  
```  
  
#### Parameters  
 *n*  
  
 An **int** that indicates the parameter number.  
  
 *x*  
  
 A **float** value.  
  
## Exceptions

## Remarks  
 This setFloat method is specified by the setFloat method in the java.sql.PreparedStatement interface.
