# getBigDecimal Method (java.lang.String)

  Retrieves the value of the designated parameter as java.math.BigDecimal with full precision given the parameter name.  
  
## Syntax  
  
```  
  
public java.math.BigDecimal getBigDecimal(java.lang.String sCol)  
```  
  
#### Parameters  
 *sCol*  
  
 A **String** that contains the parameter name.  
  
## Return Value  
 A BigDecimal object.

## Remarks  
 This getBigDecimal method is specified by the getBigDecimal method in the java.sql.CallableStatement interface.
