In [!INCLUDEssMDSshort], you can change the name of a model.
To perform this procedure:

You must have permission to access the System Administration functional area.

You must be a model administrator. For more information, see Administrators (Master Data Services).

In [!INCLUDEssMDSmdm], click System Administration.

On the Model View page, from the menu bar, point to Manage and click Models.

On the Model Maintenance page, in the grid, click the row for the model with the name you want to change.

You cannot change the name of the Metadata model. -
Click Edit selected model.

In the Model name box, type the updated name of the model.

Click Save model.
