In [!INCLUDEssMDSshort], copy a version of the model to create a new version of it.
To perform this procedure:

You must have permission to access the Version Management functional area.

You must be a model administrator. For more information, see Administrators (Master Data Services).

You must have permission to access the Version Management functional area. For more information, see Functional Area Permissions (Master Data Services).

In [!INCLUDEssMDSmdm], click Version Management.

On the Manage Versions page, select the row for the version that you want to copy.

Depending on a setting in [!INCLUDEssMDScfgmgr], you might be able to copy versions with the Committed status only. For more information, see System Settings (Master Data Services). -
Click Copy.

In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
