RefreshPolicy Element (ASSL)

Determines how often the dynamic part of the dimension or measure group (as specified by the Persistence element) is checked for changes.

Remarks

The value of this element is limited to one of the strings listed in the following table.

Value Description
ByQuery Every query checks to see whether the source data has changed.
ByInterval Source data is only checked for changes at the interval specified by RefreshInterval.

The enumeration that corresponds to the allowed values for RefreshPolicy in the Analysis Management Objects (AMO) object model is xref:Microsoft.AnalysisServices.RefreshPolicy.
