Deprecated Features in SQL Server Replication

[!INCLUDE SQL Server SQL MI] This topic describes the deprecated Replication features that are still available in [!INCLUDEssnoversion]. These features are scheduled to be removed in a future release of [!INCLUDEssNoVersion]. Deprecated features should not be used in new applications.

Items Deprecated in [!INCLUDEsssql16-md]

Feature Description
[!INCLUDEsql2008-md] Replication is supported if each [!INCLUDEssNoVersion] endpoint is within two major versions of the current version of [!INCLUDEssNoVersion]. Consequently, [!INCLUDEsssql16-md] does not support replication to or from [!INCLUDEsql2008-md] or [!INCLUDEssKilimanjaro].
[!INCLUDEssEW] Replication is supported if each [!INCLUDEssNoVersion] endpoint is within two major versions of the current version of [!INCLUDEssNoVersion]. Consequently, [!INCLUDEsssql16-md] does not support replication to or from [!INCLUDEssEW].
