Dassault Systèmes selected to support digital delivery of STEP Fusion. We’ve signed a £30 million contract with Dassault Systèmes to expand delivery capability within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform - a core part of STEP Fusion’s Plant Information Management System (PIMS). As the STEP programme moves into delivery, creating a robust digital foundation is critical. PIMS will provide a single, trusted source of plant information, connecting design data, requirements, simulations and system models across the programme. This will improve engineering accuracy, reduce risk and support the delivery of the UK’s prototype fusion power plant at West Burton. It also lays the groundwork for digital twins of the plant, enabling systems to be modelled, tested and optimised in a virtual environment throughout the lifecycle of the programme.
