From Kolkata to Berlin, Sumana Saha brought the same conviction with her: technology has the biggest impact when it helps people in real life. ✨ Today, as a Senior Engineer in our Berlin team, she helps build the systems that medical practices in Germany rely on to manage billing smoothly, accurately, and with less administrative burden. What inspired her to join Doctolib? The opportunity to build products where reliability matters, in a culture shaped by learning, collaboration and diverse perspectives, values she also champions as a WomenTech Network Global Ambassador. A great example of that impact is the eDoctor Letter, a digital workflow her team helped build to make medical information move between practices in seconds instead of days, helping support faster decisions and better continuity of care for patients. Pour chaque spécialité, voici les délais de prise de rendez-vous par département et leur évolution en deux ans. Si les professionnels de premier recours (médecins généralistes, kinésithérapeutes, pédiatres, sages-femmes, chirurgiens-dentistes) sont accessibles en moins de 15 jours pour la plupart, les spécialistes affichent des délais parfois beaucoup plus longs. La cardiologie enregistre le délai le plus long (42 jours), suivie de la dermatologie (32 jours), de l’ophtalmologie (21 jours), de la gynécologie et de la psychiatrie. Je suis très heureux d’annoncer aujourd’hui que le Dr Anna-Karin Edstedt Bonamy rejoint Doctolib comme Chief Medical Officer. Pédiatre, chercheuse en épidémiologie périnatale, professeure associée au Karolinska Institutet et ancienne CEO de Doctrin, elle prendra la direction de notre stratégie médicale en Europe. Son rôle sera central : diriger notre équipe médicale européenne, piloter l’évaluation clinique de nos solutions et de nos systèmes d’IA, et structurer les travaux scientifiques de notre laboratoire avec les hôpitaux et les chercheurs C’est une étape importante pour Doctolib. Et pour les soignants et les patients qui nous font confiance. J’ai rencontré le Dr Edstedt Bonamy en 2019, lors d’un événement organisé par Doctolib. Elle dirigeait alors Doctrin, à Stockholm, et nous parlions déjà d’un sujet simple, mais décisif : en médecine, la technologie n’a de valeur que si elle repose sur une base clinique solide, fondée sur la preuve. Six ans plus tard, cette conviction n’a pas changé. Elle est devenue une urgence. La désinformation médicale a explosé. Des modèles d’IA généralistes ont fait irruption dans le champ de la santé. Certains posent des diagnostics. D’autres donnent des conseils médicaux. Trop souvent, sans validation clinique, sans évaluation rigoureuse, sans garde-fous suffisants. Face à cette accélération technologique, notre seule boussole doit plus que jamais être la rigueur scientifique. Parce que nos solutions prennent une place croissante dans le quotidien clinique. Parce que la connaissance médicale évolue à une vitesse inédite. Et parce qu’en santé, l’approximation n’est pas une option. Notre ligne est claire depuis le début, elle l’est encore plus aujourd’hui : la technologie doit aider les soignants à mieux soigner, et les patients à vivre en meilleure santé. Elle doit s’appuyer sur une connaissance médicale vérifiée, locale et à jour. Elle doit être évaluée avec rigueur. Et elle doit mériter la confiance. C’est exactement ce que vient renforcer l’arrivée du Dr Edstedt Bonamy. Au-delà de son parcours, il y a chez elle un vrai esprit de bâtisseuse. Elle a gardé un pied dans la pratique médicale tout en dirigeant une entreprise. Elle code elle-même, pour le plaisir. Et chez Doctrin, el il le lisait personnellement plus de la moitié des retours utilisateurs traités par son service support. Managing a team can be intense, rewarding, and sometimes feel lonely. But at Doctolib, it never has to be. 💡 In March, we brought our managers from all over Europe together for the very first edition of the (renewed) conference style M-Days. We stepped away from the daily operational grind for three days designed exclusively to share experiences, gain new insights and build concrete solutions with peers. To make this happen, we built a custom-made format featuring tailored learning paths and inspiring keynotes. We had the privilege of listening to Dr. Ilona Boniwell, PhD on resilience and positive leadership, alongside highly actionable insights from our own leaders: Jean-Urbain Hubau, Mathilde Jaïs, Iwan Lappo-Danilewski, Margaux Ceccaldi, Jordan Defas, Manuela Wendt and Maric Philibert. Scaling a company culture requires a massive investment in the development of the people guiding our teams every day. Providing managers with the right resources and a safe space is the best way to ensure everyone in the company thrives.
