We made some unconventional choices building our stack. One Rust core to rule them all. One monorepo. Backend, iOS, and Android engineers all working together in tandem. Written once, running everywhere. Here's what that looks like: Backend: Rust, end-to-end. Not because it's trendy, because when your compiler catches the bug before your users do, you ship faster. ScyllaDB for when you need monstrously fast reads. PostgreSQL when you need consistency. Redpanda for real-time streaming. All of it in one Bazel monorepo, built to scale horizontally without rewriting everything. iOS: UIKit over SwiftUI. We tune every pixel, every animation, every transition ourselves. The framework doesn't get a vote. Metal shaders where the platform hits its ceiling. And a Rust core underneath, handling everything the framework was never designed for. Android: Fully Compose-based. Down to AGSL where rendering gets serious. And yes, the exact same Rust core powering your backend is running inside your Android app. Most teams would call that crazy. We call it less code to maintain. The result? Engineers who ship a proof of concept, test it with real users, and iterate, all in the same day. If you just raised an eyebrow, that's the point. We're hiring backend, iOS, and Android engineers in Paris. → amo.co/jobs

We’re building an app about hanging out with your friends. So that's what we're doing… Bikes across Paris. Jazz nights. Random moments that turn into memories. The map we’re building at amo scratches the streets you walk with the people you like. Turns out the best product research is just living the thing you're building. Some moments from the past months ↓

Our team woke up to some exciting news this morning! Bump is App of the Day on the App Store! 🚀 Getting featured takes a lot: craft, polish, and a team that refuses to settle for “good enough.” But this moment really belongs to the people who made it possible: our users, for the constant support and the kind of feedback that shapes every release, and our team, for sweating the details and building something we’re genuinely proud of.

Yesterday, we hosted the Paris Android User Group Meetup. The perfect way to kick off the first of this 2026th year: a full room, great energy, and inspiring discussions. Huge thanks to Cyril Mottier,Martin Bonnin and Renaud Mathieu for making it happen, and to Clément de La Bourdonnaye, Jonas Pedersen, and Martin Bonnin for the excellent talks. The evening was a perfect mix, just like our homemade cocktails 🍸 See you to the next one 💚

Rust 🦀 took over amo! Last Tuesday we teamed up with Rust Paris to host a meetup before the EuroRust conference. Talks, food, drinks, and conversations filled the room with incredible energy. Thanks to everyone who joined, and Guillaume Gomez for the organization!

Unboxing the new iPhone 17 and Air feels like déjà vu, taking us straight back to the Awe Dropping Watch Party we hosted earlier this month. From custom cocktails to surprise guests 👀 it was a lot of fun! A big thank you to everyone who joined us! And a special shout-out to Clément Sauvage and Greg Lhotellier for bringing people together and making the evening so special! The next one is not to be missed 😉

BUMP !
